finished digimon story cyber sleuth today so i decided to try and draw my personal take on the female protag!
mainly thought of doing this cuz girl did Not look like a detective so i wanted to change that at least a little bit. also used the name i gave her in-game lol. oh and i also see the guy version as wearing the same outfit but w/ some of the colors reversed!

base notes-
when i thought of what she could wear, a polo and sweater vest combo immediately came to mind. i had thought of making the polo grey but went against it cuz i wanted her bottom half to be grey and thought it'd be too much
i thought of giving her both a hoodie and fanny pack but then quickly realized those would clash with each other so i went with a hoodie and cargo pants combo instead. the idea for the hoodie is for her to kinda blend in and be inconspicuous which. kinda doesn't make sense post-baku but welp lol
the friendship bracelet i thought of before the game even confirmed the childhood friends plot cuz of how obvious it was without them outright saying it cuz they kinda showed it right from the prologue. but anyway i thought of all 5 kids having friendship bracelets based on space, aiba's being a star.
glove and goggles are the same cuz those are iconic and i didn't see the need to change them
half-cyber body notes-
i thought it strange that aiba's cyber body was just normal but also not so i thought it'd make sense for there to at least be some visible discrepancies between her real and cyber forms. these differences being a portion of her hair and her eyes being like how she was before getting the junk data for her body
when she's focused, she can hide the cyber-looking parts of her body pretty well, so she can still look like a normal person if needed. but when she's not focusing on it it'll default to the design i drew. if experiencing strong emotions, the cyber parts will increase and more of her body will look glitchy like her hair and eyes
post-gate opening, the glitches slowly become more intense and her body appears more cyber-like if she's not focused on it. which she kinda does stop focusing on it until her friends show concern
near the end of the game her hair is mostly glitchy and parts of her arms and legs are the same

randomly remembered hearing that one fact about suguru's va being told to say satoru's name the same way a loving wife calls her husband and then the next thing i knew this was on my canvas. stsg forever.
