I have my work annual review today. Since I work full-time remotely, the review format is a bit different, where there are different competencies, and we rate ourselves.

I don't know where it comes down to, but watching The West Wing, while posting about it on Tumblr and doing my work, has got to be some kind of skill.

But I don't know if I'm making the right choice or shooting myself in the foot if I tell my supervisor.

The thing I love about Newsroom is that they are all imperfect people. There's not a single person in that newsroom who could be on a moral high ground. They've all fucked up and done fucked-up shit; they all deal with the consequences of their actions and get on with it to do the news.

Because that's what matters. Not the ratings, but telling the news. Telling that story and changing a life, sometimes it's their own.
