i love post-hiatus riptide
everyone has worked so hard on it and they are doing a phenomenal job
i DO however miss the character cold opens. i love how some of them had canon relevance for the characters or were just utter nonsense
they were a nice way to get into the episode and the vibe of the group
i loved those things so much :>

Riptide 130 spoilers:
I hope SO SO badly that Gill will become a leviathan, it would just be so sick. But it would kinda suck if he lost his memories and character development to did it HOWEVER it would be SO SO sick if he had to fight to keep those memories and chose to leave behind the hurt from his past.
Also this means (assuming the pirates become lvl 20) Gill and Aurora can hang out as sea beasts for several centuries!! Hurray!!! And hopefully Chip (Champion of Death) and Jay (Ferin Sun shenanigans and whatever Faye had going on immortality wise) can be saying hi to them small-style for several hundred years as they usher in a new era of peace :)

THEORY ON THE ENDING OF UPP (half serious half silly half hopeful thinking)
Okay so like they obviously are going to have to like kill or get Mr Abramham to pass, but also like high likelihood we see the scene where Will falls off the cliff and dies. Maybe we could see how that effects the rest of the UPP, like their friend goes to the woods and never comes back and then like 2 years later you have to evacuate your hometown and see him get riped in 2. But also sad thought, if after Will falls and dies we smash cut to Will sitting ontop of the Winnebago and hes looking sadly at a photo of all three of them.
