I saw the interview with Ellen, which is where’s this bit comes up, and she admitted that she was trying so hard. Like, she had a kid and that was amazing but on the downside she wasn’t used to the extra gain and even if she learned how to treat her body and looking the way she looks (stunning) she was still insecure because it was new for her and she was trying really hard. And even if you are Anne Hathaway, when you are surrounded  by all these beautiful women who apparently are fitter than you feel it must be excruciating. But they went out of their way to make her feel gorgeous and Anne herself said at the beginning she was afraid it may turn into a daily competition but apparently they learned to love each other deeply. that’s beautiful. I’m so hyped for this movie!

Fun fact: I never looked up the original song because George’s was so pure? Anyway, I was on Spotify one day and at the same time, was looking something about the barricade boys, the song started when I was reading about Enjolras and at first I didn’t even realize, simply started singing as usual, until like the second verse? And I kept singing George’s lyrics because positive reinforcement.

I will never get over how old the hp movies made Lily, James, Sirius, Lupin, Snape, etc look. Lily and James died at age 21. In the first book, Snape is 31. When Lupin and Sirius show up in year 3, they are both 33. WHY DO THEY LOOK SO OLD

It’s one of those things that make me SO upset. But there’s a difference to be made.

I love both David and Gary I truly think they were perfect for the part)  I think one of the main reason for their casting was due to the fact that David and Gary both gave their characters a depth and some heaviness that had to come with the lives those characters had and the hardships they had to face. The shit Remus and Sirius went through should have been reflected in their tired bodies, their gestures and also the way they spoke. I actually appreciated that they depicted them older. Because sometimes life takes a toll on you and your body tells the whole story. Remus has the scars, Sirius has the tattoo. Both have the sign of the time passing on their faces. 

But at the same time I wanted younger actors for Lily and James. Those guys died at 21 years old. They should have been depicted barely as more than teenagers. I didn’t like their castings in the movies. They faced Voldemort 3 times, Lily managed to tell him to fuck off mere moments before he killed her. You need courage for that, and strength and a boldness that it’s a particular feature of young people. James went to open the door and face the man without a wand. He was 21. He had just started his family. He had the whole life ahead. He stil wasn’t a family man. He was slowly becoming one. And I can’t stand they portrayed him as some wise, thirty-something grown up who had his all life figured out. He was still learning, enjoying life and his wife and his toddler. James Potter was killed while still blooming through life. And it makes me so much angry.

just think about it:

- she gives ginny a stick and poke in their fourth year, the first tattoo she’s ever given anyone - a tiny crescent moon on the inside of her forearm with magic color changing ink - it tells ginny the weather, and glows when the weather is perfect for quidditch

- hagrid gleefully gets a tattoo from luna sometime in the fifth year - on his inner ankle, a square of text tells him about the needs of the creatures around him - he starts sitting with his ankle on his knee to more easily check it

- she gives harry a tattoo the summer before his eighth year - a small horntail, but it moves from his chest to sit on his shoulder or cower in the crook of his elbow as it pleases - it wakes him up from his bad dreams, and keeps him warm in the middle of the night

- she gives neville a tattoo before she was stolen into the malfoy’s manor - it’s a ring encircling his middle finger - the magic of it is simple, transforming into whatever word he needs to see most when he asks it

- seamus gets one not long after neville - it’s a tiny bomb on his collar bone, ticking in time with dean’s heart

- hermione doesn’t want a tattoo at first, but as she grows closer with luna she asks for it very shyly in the middle of her eighth year - it gently pulses with her heart on her shoulder blade, an hourglass on it’s side - it will sometimes stand up and run sand, but only when hermione is very busy or stressed

- george asks for a tattoo that finishes his jokes, many years after the war, when he is an uncle and godfather - luna refuses and instead gives him a non-magical tattoo, a china cup mended with gold over his heart

- draco, many years after luna is an established artist and healer, drops into her shop in diagon alley - he asks her to fix his scar-slashed Mark, and she turns it into a sleeve of flowers, studded with snakes and turtles - the flowers bloom with his moods, and shield him from hurting himself

Headcanon that Alec has busied himself with work, after the events of 218, in order to avoid sleeping. He couldn't stand the thought of waking up to an empty bed knowing that Magnus wasn't in the other room waiting for him. After the so much needed reunion, Magnus stayed up all night watching Alec sleeping peacefully. He looked like he hadn't slept in a week. When Alec woke up the next morning the first thing he did was reaching out for Magnus, closed eyes and bed hair still on full force, from his lips escaping a relieved "you're here!"

When Alec said he and magnus had to be professional in the meeting I thought there were going to be a shit ton of stranger representatives of the different downworlders clans and it turns out it was just the 4 members of the gossip downworlder club, and they all know Malec is a Thing.
