Anyway,
Before Zoro was recruited by Luffy into piracy he was a bounty hunter. He was a well-known bounty hunter to reach the point that Baroque Works tried to recruit him by sending Mr. 7.
Now here's the point and I think everyone knew it by now.
Robin was a part of that syndicate. It means she's well aware who they are recruiting.
It means that she knew him before she knew of Luffy. The first person/member of strawhat she knew was Zoro.
She knew him even before she saw him.
My delusional self would wonder, if the curiosity about Luffy was because of Zoro.
Because she wants to see what sort of a captain he would follow when he rejects the famous baroque works because he doesn't want to be subservient.
Plus, I think why Robin can show Zoro her vulnerability is because she knew him way before other strawhats.
But I've recalled something in the Thriller Bark I might be delusional but...
When Robin heard what happened with Zoro's "nothing happened here". I think it made her realise what Zoro's personality is aside from what he shows outside.
That's why when Violet told her that Zoro's planned to push the string of cage built by Doflamingo she just said "That's so him".
A small collection about Zorobin ... (Part 2 of ?)
Part 1
Last time, we left off at the scene on the altar, but I need to backtrack briefly to the arrival scene—right after Robin’s comment about adventure, before she gets off the boat.
I can't believe I forgot this scene—Zoro's headfirst crash landing into the cloud sea.
What I've always wondered is, why did he splash down into the clouds? Why does Oda show us that specifically?
Could Robin's words about “the idea of an adventure” have preoccupied him so much that, while he was mulling it over, he wasn't paying attention and fell overboard?
In any case, this moment has always stuck with me.
Let's go back to the so-called adventure scene.
If you look at this panel, it’s actually a very private moment, with no one else on board except the two of them.
The other Straw Hats are romping around on the beach in the background and seem like children, while Robin and Zoro—the supposedly more mature crew members who are supposed to be staying behind—share an intimate moment.
I’d even go so far as to say that, by Oda’s standards, it’s a romantic moment, since scenes like this in movies are exactly that—romantic moments in which the supposed future couple gets the chance to get to know each other better.
And once again, the question: why does Oda devote so much space on the manga page to this scene and go to the trouble of drawing it separately?
Consequently, the scene must actually be important, right?
And yet we still haven’t gotten an answer as to why we were shown this scene, but maybe we’ll find out sometime in the future.
This scene here is also quite interesting, as it shows once again that Robin and Zoro are on the same wavelength and pay attention to their surroundings.
Meanwhile, Luffy and the others are running around, and Sanji is completely engrossed in a conversation with a beautiful woman, while Zoro and Robin remain suspicious and keep pressing for answers.
That said, Robin's curiosity also plays a certain role; she always questions everything and absorbs every bit of information she can.
Here in these panels, we can see it clearly once again: Zoro and Robin are watching from the background and asking questions.

Another thing I find quite interesting is the position of Zoro’s swords.
It would be easier to pull them closer to his lap or position them to his right, and yet he’s placed them on the left side of the backrest, near Robin—the woman who’s only just joined the crew and whom he doesn’t yet trust.
He knows her Devil Fruit powers; she could easily reach the swords if she wanted to, and yet he’s put them right there.
After that, Zoro takes a nap and they have a meal, until Sanji brings up his concern about Nami.
And while the captain brushes it off by saying that Nami is still running around, who’s the one keeping a close eye on things and listening carefully because he cares about this crew, protects them, and is always on the lookout for dangers around them?
That’s right, Zoro.
That’s why it always upsets me when people dismiss him as a dull, emotionless blockhead.
He isn’t emotionless; he just expresses his feelings differently.
And he definitely has an eye for his surroundings, even if he doesn’t always say what’s on his mind.
(Just like a certain other someone who stays in the background)
Mr., I sacrifice myself.
Oda's Jesus (Zoro), who once again throws himself into the line of fire for the crew's safety—all while they're being kidnapped by one of God's Lobster Expresses.
That's downright hilarious, (btw—has anyone ever noticed that the lobster has little horns?
I looked into it, and lobsters actually have horns—I had no idea.)
Zoro's sacrifice would be pointless, because everyone would end up as fish food anyway.
On top of that, this scene is also quite interesting
From west to north-east/east, from Angel Beach to the Altar of Sacrifice.
Straight from heaven to hell.
It’s funny when you view the whole thing through the Zorobin lens.
Okay, back to the altar and Chopper.
Here, we get a brief recap regarding the crew and the whistle Ganfor gave them for emergencies.
After some back-and-forth, Nami hangs the whistle on the mainmast and permits its use only in dire emergencies; she explicitly forbids the four strongest crew members from using it, under threat of punishment.
These members include our "Monster Trio" and Robin.
And everyone agrees in unison.
What I always find particularly amusing here is Robin's attitude.
She is the oldest member of the crew, yet she has no problem acknowledging the established chain of command.
She grasped the crew dynamics immediately and fit right in, despite the fact that, as the eldest, she might technically be expected to hold the most authority.
She quickly realized that while Luffy is the captain, Nami is the one calling the shots—since she’s the navigator and the brains of the group.
We see a great example of this in an earlier scene where she covered Luffy’s mouth so Nami and the crew could be briefed on the Log Pose—you might remember that one.
Zoro is the unofficial vice-captain—a role she also acknowledges, as we’ll see later on.
There’s also an SBS section in the chapter (247) featuring this scene that’s quite interesting in this context.
So, Sanji addresses Nami like an adult, yet treats Robin as if she were younger than him—interesting.
And Sanji seems to be someone who doesn't care about age (like so many characters in this manga when it comes to relationships; strangely enough, age only becomes an issue for people when it involves "Zorobin")
And while Anti's get worked up over the age gap of Zorobin, Oda simply creates couples with significant age differences—he doesn't care about it either.
But why does Sanji treat Nami like an adult?
Perhaps, as Oda suggests, it’s because she has a queen-like personality; she also takes a leading role, acting like someone with long-standing experience in a position of authority.
Meanwhile, Robin is quiet and reserved, and she even accepts orders from Nami.
And—(this is very important to me)—she has a childlike nature.
Her physical age doesn't match her inner age; in terms of intelligence, there’s no question—she could be a thousand-year-old scholar.
But I think that because external circumstances forced her to grow up so quickly—forcing her to suppress her curious, childlike personality—she never got to live out her childhood… until now.
Now—especially after Enies Lobby, where she has a safe environment and knows she is protected—she can finally experience that missed childhood.
Psychologically speaking, it is not at all unusual for someone who couldn't live out their childhood to make up for it later on.
Think back to Manga Chapter 200, when Luffy fights Crocodile and we get "Water Luffy."
Crocodile is completely baffled by the situation—and by the fact that Luffy doesn't seem to take anything seriously—while Robin bursts into hearty laughter.
Crocodile embodies the serious adult who has no patience for such childish antics, whereas Robin represents the childlike side; she simply laughs, just as children would in that situation.
We didn't realize it at the time, but looking back at this scene with what we know now, something interesting stands out.
Luffy makes people laugh (Joy Boy/Nika); he laughed.
For Robin, laughter is deeply connected to her history and her suffering (Saul).
Oda weaves laughter like a common thread throughout the entire Story of One Piece: people who are suffering laugh, just like their chain-breaker, Nika.
We see this with Bartholomew Kuma and his story; with the people of Wano who, due to the cursed SMILE, have no choice but to laugh; with Dr. Hiriluk, who laughed and wanted to make others laugh—that was his idea of healing.
To give them something they can believe in and hold onto, even in difficult times.
We see it in people like Uncle Toto in Alabasta, who always smiles and never gives up hope, and even in Gol D. Roger himself, who laughed on the scaffold.
Laughter is a key element in One Piece; it signifies freedom, which is why seeing Robin laugh is so significant.
Her future is foreshadowed right here—and laughter is something most strongly associated with children.
Her childlike side is a core aspect of Robin.
This side also emerges when she joins the crew and uses her hands to sprout antlers on Luffy—mimicking Chopper’s—and we see this childlike side on Zou.
That scene appears only in the anime, unfortunately, but the scene stands out and could just as easily have occurred exactly that way in the manga.
The scene appears in Episode 768.
It takes place shortly after Nami scolds Luffy and Usopp, while Robin, by contrast, is exuberantly jumping down the steps.
That’s why it makes absolutely no sense to me when anti-Zoro fans call him too young for Robin.
And what about Zoro himself—does he act his age?
No; even though he’s quite young, he is often very serious and solemn—traits you’d usually associate with an adult.
Besides, the oldest members of the Straw Hats are often the most childish—take Franky or Brook, for example.
Age difference doesn't matter in Oda’s world; Oda plays by his own rules.
Let’s move on to Chopper, who now facing one of Enel’s four guardians. Shura!
The name Shura (Russian: Шура) originates in Russia and is a diminutive form of the names Alexander (male) and Alexandra (female). It is derived from the Ancient Greek name *Alexandros* and is composed of the elements *aléxein* (to ward off, protect) and *anēr* (man, human).
Its meaning is therefore "the protector" or "he who wards off men."
How fitting, considering that Chopper is currently defending the Flying Lamp against him.
This is the situation that will lead to Chopper’s "nothing happened" moment.
Let's move on to the part where we meet the Shandia warriors—specifically Wyper and Raki.
Don't the two of them remind you of someone?
I always found it funny that the two of them sort of remind me of Zoro and Robin—even in terms of their personalities.
Wyper is rather rough and combative, while Raki is calm and analyzes the situation.
''You'll only be in the way!!''
Words Wyper will definitely come to regret when he fails to protect Raki from Eneru later on.
You'll only be in the way!! → As long as you don't slow me down.
Meanwhile, with our three escaped sacrificial offerings ...
So much for "don't slow me down."
He even keeps the Skyshark away so that Robin can collect samples at the well undisturbed.
(Who exactly do you think you're kidding, Zoro?)
*Nothing happened*, right Chopper?
You know what? Those two have Morticia and Gomez energy.
No, Dad, nothing happened; I was super tough.
You know what I always find remarkably stupid?
When people claim that Zoro and Robin hardly spoke to each other throughout the entire manga.
Aside from the fact that the two of them have their own quiet, subtle way of communicating, the Skypiea Arc alone offers plenty of conversation.
Then again, maybe the people who say that are the same ones who consider the Skypiea Arc unnecessary and didn't watch or read it.
Which is a crime in itself, seeing as the Skypiea Arc is one of the most important arcs—including for explaining what One Piece actually is. How do these people expect to understand the story?
One of my absolute favorite pages.
This highlights the similarity between Zoro and Robin once again; unlike the others, both are quiet observers from the sidelines, yet still part of the crew.
But we can't leave it like that, can we, Oda?
The two of them alone on the sideline under the starry sky by the campfire?
That's way too romantic, that just won't do, so we need some kind of distraction.
Ah yes! How about we just position someone between them, hmm? Yep, much better already, nobody will notice.
(Does that mean Ganfor was Oda's first Zorobin diversionary tactic?)
And Zoro expresses his thanks to Ganfor—what does that remind me of? Ah, yes…

I'll start with the beauty — Robin and Chopper were shown in this chapter :3
Robin says she needs Chopper in the Library.
Why?
I can only see two possibilities.
First — someone is injured, and Chopper is needed to treat them.
This option is ruled out, because it's clearly not Saul — he is shown to be healthy.
We also saw Biblo in chapter 1182, and he looked fine.
Chapter 1182.
The second option — Chopper is needed to "translate" what Biblo is trying to say.
After all, this chapter explicitly reminded us that Chopper can "understand" the language of animals.
I still wouldn't rule out the possibility of a "clash" between Robin and Biblo. Because we don't know exactly how he is acting right now or what he wants to say.
Though I admit the likelihood of this outcome is now lower.
I'm very curious about what will happen next, so I'll be waiting for the next chapters.

Nami is scolding Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, who have been turned into monkeys.
This is one of the most famous moral allegories in Japan (or rather, one that came to Japan and became especially popular there) — "The Three Wise Monkeys."
Luffy — covering his eyes → Mizaru (見ざる) — "see no evil."
Sanji — covering his ears → Kikazaru (聞かざる) — "hear no evil."
Zoro — covering his mouth → Iwazaru (言わざる) — "speak no evil."
Most often, they are understood as "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."
However, the original meaning was a bit deeper:
"Do not let evil into your heart, and do not spread it further."
Luffy — "see no evil." He often ignores social differences, titles, or backgrounds. He judges people by their actions, not by their appearance or status.
Sanji — "hear no evil." This is most likely a pure gag. There is women's underwear hanging on the clothesline, and Nami seems to be yelling something. Sanji is covering his ears as if he doesn't want to listen to her scolding, completely absorbed in his fantasies (the hearts over his head clearly emphasize this).
Zoro — "speak no evil." This is perhaps the most accurate match. Zoro is a man of few words who prefers actions over speech. His famous "Nothing happened" immediately comes to mind.
In other words, Oda didn't just recreate the composition of "The Three Wise Monkeys"; he also cleverly played into the characters' personalities.
Several weapons were used in this chapter.
Imu used the Axe of Xingtian.
Kirringham received the Spear of Longinus.
Sommers received the Sword of "Wrath and Love" — "Gram."
Fragarach is a legendary sword from Irish mythology and a popular magical item in Japanese media. Its name means "The Answerer" or "The Whisperer."
It belonged to the sea god Manannán mac Lir and was later passed down to Lugh, the god of light and the sun.
The blade could pierce any armor, no one could withstand it, and wounds inflicted by it were fatal. It also had the power to force people to speak the truth when held to their throat.
The Japanese scans actually feature the name of this axe.
Imu summons the Axe of Xingtian — "Heaven's Punishment."
In Chinese culture, the Axe of Xingtian (the great Yue axe) is a symbol of eternal resistance, unyielding will, and fury. In ancient China, this type of axe was used not only in battle but also for ritual executions, which highlights the punishing and menacing nature of the character.
Xingtian was a giant and a musician at the court of the Flame Emperor (Yan Di). When Yan Di lost the war to the Yellow Emperor (Huang Di), Xingtian held a grudge. He took a massive axe and shield, and marched alone to storm the heavenly palace.
Huang Di and Xingtian clashed in a brutal battle on Mount Changyang. Being the more experienced warrior, Huang Di caught the giant off guard and cut off his head.
Even without his head, the giant refused to die. Through the sheer force of his indescribable fury, he turned his nipples into eyes and his belly button into a mouth.
It's not the prettiest sight, so I won't post a picture…
Becoming a headless monster, he raised his axe and shield once more, furiously swinging them in the air in an eternal dance of war against the heavens themselves.
In Chinese culture, Xingtian is the ultimate symbol of an unyielding will, defiance, and fighting to the bitter end — refusing to bow even to the gods!
It's a highly iconic imagery.
And this lore of Xingtian resonates perfectly with the concept of "Heaven's Punishment."
I also noticed — whether by coincidence or design — that it is Gaban who stands against this axe.
A man who fights with dual axes.
Gaban the one who lost his "head" — his Captain, Gol D. Roger!
Incredibly symbolic, don't you think?
The Spear of Longinus (also known as the Holy Lance) is one of the most famous relics in Christian tradition.
According to Christian lore, when Jesus was crucified on the cross, a Roman soldier named Longinus pierced His side with a spear to ensure that He was dead.
The spear is considered "holy" because it came into contact with the body of Christ. According to one legend, Longinus himself came to believe in Christ after the crucifixion and was later canonized as a saint.
In other words, the very man who pierced Jesus later became a martyr for the Christian faith.
This is a very powerful motif of transformation.
In theology, the strike of the spear is sometimes interpreted as the ultimate confirmation of truth. After it, there is no denying what happened. Therefore, the spear is sometimes associated not just with violence, but with revelation.
Over time, numerous myths have emerged around the spear:
The owner of the spear is supposedly invincible;
it grants the right to rule;
and as long as the ruler possesses the spear, their state will endure.
So Oda really does incorporate Christian themes into his work…
You would think that given Sommers' "biblical motifs" and the fact that his opponent is Zoro, the Spear of Longinus would suit him better, right?
But what if I told you — no!
The sword "Gram" fits much better, and choosing this weapon against Zoro was likely no coincidence!
Sommers wields the Sword of "Wrath and Love," named "Gram" — one of the most famous swords in Norse mythology.
And this is where it gets incredibly interesting!
Gram (Gramr) is the legendary sword of the hero Sigurd. It is the very sword Sigurd used to slay the dragon Fafnir, which is one of the central plots of the Völsunga saga and the Poetic Edda. Before Sigurd, the sword belonged to his father, Sigmund.
The legend of this sword is very similar to the legend of Excalibur, though the tale of Gram is significantly older!
King Völsung held a grand wedding feast in honor of his daughter.
At the height of the festivities, a strange, tall, one-eyed old man wearing a cloak and a hood entered the banqueting hall — the god Odin himself. He silently walked over to the Barnstokk tree, drove a magnificent sword deep into its trunk right up to the hilt, and announced: "He who draws this sword shall have it as a gift, and he shall see for himself that he has never held a better weapon." After that, the old man vanished.
All the noble guests tried to pull the blade out, but to no avail. Only Völsung's youngest son, Sigmund, was able to do it with ease.
For many years, Sigmund defeated his enemies while wielding the legendary sword Gram. However, in his final battle, Odin himself appeared on the battlefield, taking the form of a one-eyed old man with the spear Gungnir.
When Sigmund struck Odin's spear with Gram, the blade shattered in two. Having lost his weapon, Sigmund was mortally wounded. Before dying, he gathered the shards of Gram and passed them to his wife, Hjördis, instructing her to keep them for their unborn son. He prophesied that one day a new, even more powerful sword would be forged from these fragments, and with it, his son would achieve great deeds.
Years later, the blacksmith Regin reforged the shards, restoring Gram. Sigurd — Sigmund's son — became the new owner of the sword, destined to slay the dragon Fafnir and become one of the greatest heroes of Norse mythology.
Zoro uses his "103 Mercies" attack, which once again links us back to the Dragon, Ryuma, and the battle against King on Onigashima.

In chapter 1183, Imu used this exact same sword against the Dragon Loki!
Armed with Gram, Sigurd set out for Gnitaheide (Gnita-heath), the lair of the dragon. The blacksmith Regin was treacherous: he advised Sigurd to simply dig a single pit along the dragon's path, hide inside, and pierce Fafnir when he went to drink water. However, this plan would have doomed the hero to death.
As Sigurd was digging the pit, an unknown old man approached him. He asked what the youth was doing, and after hearing the plan, called it foolish. The old man explained that Fafnir was immense, and once Sigurd pierced his heart, rivers of black, venomous dragon blood would pour from the wound. In a single pit, Sigurd would simply drown and perish.
The old man advised him to dig several interconnected pits and trenches, using the trenches as drains where all the monster's toxic blood would flow away, while staying in the main pit to wait for the strike.
This old man was Odin himself!
In some retellings, Odin also gave Sigurd a second crucial piece of advice:
Right after the victory, Odin advised Sigurd to roast Fafnir's heart for the blacksmith Regin. While cooking, Sigurd accidentally burned his finger, tasted the dragon's blood, and suddenly gained the ability to understand the language of birds. Hearing their conversation, he learned that Regin was planning to kill him to seize Fafnir's treasure. Thanks to this warning, Sigurd preempted the traitor and saved his own life.

If you remember, back on Punk Hazard, Zoro killed a dragon, and then they ate it!
Why is "Gram" called the Sword of "Wrath and Love"? This is where it gets incredibly interesting!
As it turns out, the sword Gram is deeply tied to one of the most tragic love stories in Norse mythology — the fate of Sigurd and the Valkyrie Brynhild.
Brynhild had been punished by Odin for her disobedience and cast into a magical sleep(!!!). She slumbered within a hall surrounded by a ring of blazing fire, a barrier that only a fearless hero could breach.
Riding his horse Grani, Sigurd managed to pass through the wall of flame. Inside the hall, he found the sleeping Valkyrie clad in enchanted chainmail that seemed fused to her skin. Using the sword Gram, Sigurd sliced through the armor, freeing Brynhild from the spell.
Upon waking, Brynhild instantly recognized him as a great hero. Love sparked between them, and they exchanged vows of eternal fidelity, completely unaware of the tragic end fate had in store for them.
Later, under the influence of a magical potion of forgetfulness, Sigurd forgot Brynhild and married Gudrun. Shortly after, he agreed to help his brother-in-law, Gunnar, win the Valkyrie’s hand. Disguising himself as Gunnar through magic, Sigurd once again crossed the ring of blazing fire and spent three nights alongside Brynhild while she believed him to be her future husband.
However, Sigurd did not compromise his honor. Every night, he placed the unsheathed Gram between himself and Brynhild, signaling that he would not touch her. The sword became a symbol of his duty and his word.
Eventually, the deception was revealed. Overwhelmed by despair, love, and a burning desire for revenge upon realizing she had been tricked, Brynhild’s intense emotions drove her to plot Sigurd's death.
Yet, she could not bear to live without him. Following his murder, Brynhild took her own life and requested that they be buried on the exact same funeral pyre. According to her final wish, the bare blade of Gram was once again placed between their bodies — just as it had divided their bed during those three nights. Thus, Gram became not only the weapon of the ultimate hero, but an eternal symbol of their tragic love, uniting Sigurd and Brynhild even in death.

when most of crew went to the banquet, zoro already started drinking (as always) he's not much into pleasantries or maybe cos wifey is not there so he does not bother to wait for everyone and begin drinking. it is heavily emphasized in EP 1165.

And Zoro? Even if he knew Robin can defend herself he will always protects her, Robin's always sparks Zoro's interests and above all he never reprimands/stop/questions Robin's dark thoughts/humor.
(Although I forgot in punk hazard if Zoro stops her in the manga he never did but in anime I don't know.)
I never hated Rob Lucci I just hate his arrogance, I admire this about him too.
He could have follow what Spandam have said but he just grabbed Robin's arm and told her to keep walking.
I love this as well even though he indirectly spared Chimney & Gonbe because he had a hidden goal (fight Luffy) he is still above Spandam.
Although he can do a lot for his justice he is still a sane person towards 'innocent' civillians and had a respect for women.
I guess they became shitty when they work under a shitty boss. Really Oda can make a character detestable (dirty spit on you Spandam). I still hate spandam till this day.
there this one particular scene during the montage at the end of episode 1163 where we see robin's highlight throughout OP. not everything can fit by the animators of course so enies lobby was missing or the first time she met the crew.
but anyway i am not going to talk about what are missing but more of this specific scene right here ⬇️. this one really caught my eye aside from a bunch of them but anyway so here it goes.
this particular scene is from fishman island where zoro, usopp and brook were captured by the villain (i forgot the name im sorry) and they were imprisoned in this cage. usopp made an impression of robin where brook obviously laughing while we didnt get to see zoro's reaction. then it transitioned to robin exploring in the fishman island for ponegliff.
if the montage is by any indication robin's core memory, this particular "memory" is not hers but brook, usopp, and of zoro's. anyone from those 3 will absolutely have this as a fun memory.
i'll just be a delusional shipper here but based from the montage you are seeing these moments as a third-person POV but in this particular shot it's a first-person POV and who is that person off-screen during this moment, it's Zoro. so this is one of Zoro's core memories of her during fishman island. it's like when you are missing someone on you are thinking of them with funny moments this is one of those type.
episode 1163 is the crew reunited after being separated for a couple of chapters and of course a big reunion with robin and saul. but id like to think that the addition of this scene alone is an indication that zoro is heavily missing her in elbaf.
he is feigning annoyance/bored in joining the crew for the robin-saul reunion in a pretext he likes to sight-see as jinbe suggested but was front and center during that time. contradictions my friend 👀
so whoever's in-charge of this episode so thank you toei for adding the fishman island one cos it's fed my delusions.

I was really looking forward to this episode, and I'm so happy!
Not just for Robin, but for Zoro too!
Because I think they're the final couple, and this episode is important for him too!
And in this post, I'll share my thoughts on some of the points.
(These are my first thoughts after watching, so the post may be updated)

I noticed this back in the manga and was going to mention it in the Elbaf post as a guess, but now my hunch has been confirmed in the anime.
Let's begin: Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, Franky, Brook, and Nami.
Who's missing?
Sanji, Jimbei, and Zoro.
Sanji is probably lying on Gerd's chest.
Jimbei and Zoro have similar personalities and are the most "mature" members of the crew (other than Robin), which has been demonstrated repeatedly throughout the saga (and will be shown again in the chapter and episode).
But isn't Zoro interested in the "land of warriors"? Remember how intrigued he was when he heard about the "samurais" on Punk Hazard?
Or would he like to have a drink at the feast? He loves sake so much!
Unless he loves someone else more…
I think Zoro, as a Jinbe, due to his "maturity" (and in Zoro's case, also his love for Robin), understood everything, so he didn't go with them, but stayed by Robin's side.
He knew how much she wanted to meet Saul, so he thinks it's more important for them to meet first, and then they can all feast.
I find this moment very interesting!!!

To me Punk Hazard always looked like Zoro and Robin "date".
The first one to be shown from the crew.
These are most likely Robin's memories of the crew.
I've watched it a few times, everyone else on the crew is just "smiling/laughing" but only Zoro has food residue on his face.
As if someone wanted to single him out from the rest for the audience?
Or was it just Robin who remembered him like this in a more "intimate" setting? Which again does not exclude the first.
And yes, the whole crew is shown in order., but shouldn't Luffy be the first?!

I think, Oda wasn't able to show Zoro's reactions in a way that people who aren't familiar with Zorobin wouldn't immediately guess their relationship.
And this is a case where — it was easier for Oda to show this in the manga than in the anime.

I've said that I would post a blog about why was Zoro was intended to have the key to Robin's cufflink.
Before I could explain why, we should know first about Oda's way of how he plans the strawhats battle.
The strongest of their enemy is always reserved for Luffy to fight it's usually the leader/captain and that's why we always see Oda put Luffy into disastrous situation like being swallowed by a snake or him having the enemy move.
His fight will always be at the end.
The one who rank third will always meant for Sanji to fight. His enemy usually have this in common, they insulted or even hit women/a member of strawhats. Just like his codename he's mr. prince his strength usually came from the anger towards his enemy.
Now for Zoro he's usually fighting the second to the strongest. His enemy usually have dark skin- I'm sorry this is a joke, they're usually swordsman like him or the one who have an unwavering loyalty to their leader/captain.
(although Oda had followed this concept the battle in The Arlong Park Arc deviates from this Kuroobi was considered the second to Arlonh and Hachan was the weakest among the group)

The strongest in the cp9 is Lucci, followed by Kaku and third Jabra.
Now why did Oda intended for Zoro to have the key?
It's because of the power level, Kaku is the second strongest in cp9 it's only right to leave the right key to the strongest person.
Of course they cannot leave it to Lucci because Lucci was escorting Spandam and Robin. The only option is to leave it to Kaku.
So Zoro having the keys to Robin's freedom was not a random chance it was planned.
I mean why would Oda create a chance for Zoro to be defeated by Kaku in water 7 if he could have them handled by Lucci from very beginning.

It was fun discovering matters related to Zoro and Robin and it's fun reading the insights from @wolfbart, @kushinauwu, and @hapifangurl.
I've said in the very first blog that saving Robin physically is not enough she will continue to evade the strawhats.
Franky knew these but as I've said in the previous posts, Robin will not let him in there's a wall that Franky can't break.
Even Franky is frustrated by her unwillingness, not because he feels love for Robin but he feels empathetic with the strawhats because he himself have someone he loves taken from him by the world government but he doesn't have the strength that the strawhats have to save him.
Plus Franky is smart if Robin was saved then he can burned the blueprint saving him and Iceberg from the pestering of world government (but you know there's mishaps that bound to happen not all plans are perfect).
Yes, everyone is desperate to save Robin but no one shows caution and desperation aside from Zoro.
This is also subtle but when they were stopped by Baskerville. Zoro intented to stay and fight them so that Chopper and Nami can go on top.
but when the Franky family arrived and help them.
The first one to leave is Zoro he's quite in a hurry more than anyone which is proven below. (yes, I know Sanji went up first but I remember that went up ahead to clear the road for Nami first before being reminded by Chopper that they're saving Robin).
He said there's no time so he forced his way upward.
We didn't even realise that all this time he's containing his anger to the point that Kaku can smell it (no pun intended).
Or that remained vigilant until they are out of the enemies territory.
I say he might not be the center for this arc but he puts the heaviest weight on his back (remember what he said to captain t-bone).
Plus I think I'll post a blog tommorrow that Oda really planned out for Zoro to have Robin's key in this arc.

here robin is snow white but the 7 goats are preventing sanji to kiss her. is it because he is not the "prince" that will give her the "true love's kiss".
the biggest goat is facing different direction and if you look closely the goat is wearing the same clothes with zoro during the dressrosa arc.
look at the little goat noticing the "boss" is looking the other way. hinting to zoro being lost most of the time.
this was from the movie the cursed sword. that movie's entire premise was zoro's blood brother became "evil" after using a cursed sword in trying to protect his lover (the priestess). this is the most "romance-centered plot" portrayed in OP by the time it was released. though not zoro's "love story" but in a way zoro is the main focus of this film from the marketing and connection with the main antagonist.
there's this scene at the end of the movie where a big whale is chasing them.
robin is explaining while eating an apple (again a connection with snow white) that the whale fell in love with the merry and trying to propose.
she has 3 apples (can be parallel to 3 swords) and 1 green pear (color of zoro).
in one of my posts, i reference that robin's arc has similarities with fairy tales especially with snow white.
i just realized while rewatching one piece that nico robin's story has a hint or parallel with fairy tale.
during her back story/enies lobb
they said that robin's skin color changed from pre to post timeskip due to the animators color rendering but i think one of the reasons why the change in her color is to parallel snow white's description.

OP is a long running saga and we all know robin will be important since she's the only one that can read poneglyph which is most essential in finding the one piece and uncovering the blank century.
the WG still wants to get her. and those old dudes in mary jois are crazy powerful with their powers still unknown.
maybe one of the elders will put a curse to robin and the sh will have to save her once more.
sh will be forced to fight the elders to get the "antidote".
and just like in the enies lobby arc where zoro got the last key that unlocks her cuffs. zoro will be able to get the antidote that will awaken her (that can be parallel as a true love's kiss).

back to snow white parallelism. snow white secretly crushing with prince charming in the movie. cos she was shy when the prince saw her singing beside a well.
some would say that snow white and prince charming only interacted at the beginning of the movie then at the last part. but still at the end they got their happily ever after.
some ants argument i saw online that zorobin doesn't make sense bcos they do not interact or have few interactions. which is false cos if you watch closely the anime and read the manga they have a lot of interactions. it may not be as highlighted as the other characters but it's there.
i think zorobin is secretly crushing with each other. you can see that in their 1st interaction after robin joined the crew. robin's trying her best to do small talk with him and get to know him more.
zoro's distrust her at first but kept on saving her anyway or being the 1st one to act when robin is in danger.
my speculation, if zorobin is parallel to snow white that by the end of OP since robin's home is gone zoro will take her to east blue in his village just like prince charming taking snow white to his kingdom.
some cool binary elements for zorobin as well.

Eines Lobby arc is not only about saving Robin it's also about untying the knot that formed in her heart.
This not was non-existqnt before but as she travels with strawhat it slowly being tangled inside her heart.
That saving her physically is not enough.
But the question is what is this knot? When Sanji, Usopp, and Franky (which is not part of the strawhat yet) plan to save Robin they can't do so because Robin was not cooperative and in the end their plan failed.
Franky also tried to untangle the knot in her heart but failed to do so (If you look at her there's no change on her facial expression she looks at Franky normally like she's just listening.
The other ship will tell us that this scene is the basis of their ship because Franky told Robin her existence is not a crime, but as Oda said it's base on your reading comprehension.
The target of Franky's words is not Robin but us the reader. Oh how can you tell? It's because of these.
Lucci told us that the very existence of Robin is a crime because she holds something that could burn the world.
Of course Franky was also there he heard it and used it so that he could pusuade Robin to go back to the strawhats, because it's no use going back on his own when the world government have Robin to reawaken the ancient weapons.
In fact the one who help loosen the tangle a little is Usopp.
Do you see it? Her eyes lightened her eyebrows are scrunched up Usopp words have a definite effect on Robin.
I know Franky's words are warm and heavy to the heart but it won't matter if his words can't reach the right mark and she won't care about what he said because she closed her heart to everyone aside from those six.
Aside from this has everyone notice that when they (runaway sea train) are on their way to Eines Lobby Zoro was always the one or included in cutting/dealing with the one on on their way.
He cut the aqua laguna with Luffy, cut the detach cart, and he even cut captain t-bone.
The only one he didn't cut was Yokozuna (the frog) and the runaway sea train lost its way. How ironic that we needed Zoro at the front so that they won't get lost.
In the previous post I've talked about how Zoro's thoughts are divided. One leaning to distrusting Robin and one leaning to learning about the truth.
In here the strawhats are asking Robin why she's siding with the world government and Zoro's questions had an effect on Robin (shadowed eyes in anime/manga represents a person having hidden thoughts or the person is in distress).
As you can see above Robin have shadowed eyes while she answered Zoro. As I discussed in the previous blog Zoro is the first person who Robin trusted and felt safe with when she joined the strawhats.
In fact the first question Zoro asks was not what Robin had voluntary to do (It was one of the conditions) so when a special person she trusts asks her these it will definitely had an impact on her.
With Zoro words it is apparent that he's frustrated by Robin. His words clarifies this time that Robin is not their ally, it's quite ironic that his words appears that he had given up because if you dig into his words it has a deeper purpose.
He called her full name to get her attention and then asks Luffy a question that he knows the answer to it.
It's like he's indirectly saying "Hey Nico Robin, I don't care if you're on the enemy side, we'll bring you back."
If he truly meant for Luffy to understand that Robin won't come back then he should be as determined as when he forbids everyone from asking Usopp to join until he apologizes.
and because he wouldn't be this bothered when she said goodbye to the point of losing his concentration in the middle of the fight.
Plus he already confirmed that even if they didn't rescue Robin in Einnes Lobby doesn't mean they're going to stop there.

I always cry at this scene manga/anime.
I don't know if any one knew this but....
It's got a shark head this deffinitely a joke pointed at him.
There's a lot of reasons why I am shipping Zoro and Robin and it is not that they look good together it's way deeper than that.
When I watch animes I don't get into shipping unless I sense something suspicious between the two.
This is always been on my mind now so I dig deep into the manga, and here's all of what I've researched so far.
I'm going to focus first in these two arcs 'the water seven arc' & 'eines lobby arc'.
These two arcs brought us a lot of roller coaster of events but in this arc we are made to see the vulnerability of strawhats crew.
And here in this arc we see how Zoro acts as the first mate of the crew.
Zoro is a pragmatic and forthright person and this is the way he comforts the crew when Usopp splits from them. He will never sugarcoat his words at this time he was the anchor/pillar of the group.
After the debacle with Usopp the strawhat discuss what had happened. Mayor Iceberg was shot and Robin left the crew. The two groups splitted one (Luffy & Nami) went to see Iceberg and two (Sanji & Chopper) to search for Robin but before leaving Sanji asks Zoro what he's going to do.
Sanji was puzzled by Zoro's answers (like this is not the usual answer he would receive from Zoro). Even I am puzzled why would they put a question mark on Sanji's speech bubble.
This time in my conclusion Zoro have a bad feeling of what's going to happen that's why he choose to stay and not move (like he's got no direction)
After Chopper told them what he heard from Robin, Zoro knew what the underlying message is in Robin's word. (Although he's mistaken about luring them on the murder site)
Also I can't help but think that the message she left behind was specifically left for Zoro to understand the only problem is that Zoro act the opposite of what she wanted.
As a I said above Zoro is pragmatic and forthright person and this is the reason why Robin felt safe to be vulnerable with him.
The first one when she just joined the strawhat, among the strawhats only Zoro is wary of her, a normal response to an enemy.
Because among the crew (with their eccentricities) Zoro was by far sane that it made her comfortable.
As I said above Robin is comfortable that she didn't mind showing her vulnerabilities.
(she's sharing about the idea of adventure and Oda said the strawhats are in love with adventure so she's talking about love here)
(Also her smile reminds me of this) and @lunariancupid also blog about Robin's mannerism in this blog.
Zoro is indeed a pragmatic person as shown that he's undecided if Robin is an enemy or not or he will always be at a stand point. He needs to know the truth first before he could decide.
Inside of Zoro's head there are two reasons fighting. The one who's always distrustful of Robin and the other one who saw her vulnerabilities that the other strawhats didn't.
And so the part one is ending here, this is a long analysis of what I have found so I don't know how many parts will be there.
but I will try... to finalise everything as soon as possible.
After two years the straw hats finally reunited in Sabaody. Please look upon the pages below from chapter #602.
If you've gotten a good look then let's proceed to the group who are on the back of the big bird. From right to left you will se Luffy, Chopper, Zoro, and Sanji.
That's how the arrangement of their positions. Now take a look above it, it shows the panel for Luffy, Sanji, and followed by Chopper and Zoro.
Did you notice how their positions differs from the panels above? Odachi made a panel for only Luffy, the same with Sanji but he made one panel only for Zoro and Chopper.
Now when you look below from where the panel for Chopper and Zoro you'll see Robin standing looking up to them. It's odd that he swap the sequence of positions like he made the swap on purpose just so he could put Zoro and Chopper's panel right above Robin.
I have previously made a blog regarding how Zoro, Robin, and Chopper we're always included together and even their panels are always side by side in chapter #594 & #597.
And in this chapter (#602), it feels as if it symbolizes the dad and child are coming back to their home (wife/mom).
You can even notice how gentle the smile Zoro have when we always saw with either a manacing green or a smirk but never with a smile that gentle.
After the four arrived Sanji for the first time have a nosebleed after he saw Nami & Robin (Poor Sanji).
If you see above I've drawn an grotesque green circle where Zoro is. We can see that he was walking to the right.
If you see the pages way at the start the one who was further to the right is Robin. If you seen the panels above only Robin was not present so it's possible that Zoro was walking towards her.
Now here's a funfact: There's only two men (excluding the reindeer) who are not affected by Boa's allure. It's Zoro and Luffy.
