What the hell!
World War Z is unlike any zombie film before it. It never relies on gore, barrels of blood and rotting flesh to further its story. The delivery of fright and suspense is done in an intelligent and sophisticated way, and that is a rare thing for this type of genre. However, do not mistake its approach as a weakness. This zombie apocalypse keeps you on edge for almost 2 hours straight and absolutely shows no mercy.
In our continued quest towards spiritual development, nothing is so easily overlooked nor of greater import than a proper understanding of LOVE and how to truly and effectively walk therein. As we earnestly seek to grow in deeper understanding of Truth, we must not lose sight of the fact that Truth is Love and Love is Truth. However, we must not become confused by the term. What we consider to be “love” is many, if not most, times not really Love at all – it is merely a reflection of our own egoic desires.

Well, I’m not proud of it. I’ve always sort of prided myself on being an up-streamer. A salmon, if you will. You know, someone who doesn’t just go with the crowd, and in fact, makes a special point to go against it. Yes that’s me…..Miss I’m-Too-Good-For-What’s-Popular. You can bet that if everyone in the room is cheering for the Patriots, I’ll be rooting for the Giants, just to tick everyone off. (Well, that and because Tom Brady is the most vinegarous of douchebags ever to play in the NFL). It’s true. I’m quite obnoxious when I want to be, and occasionally even when I don’t want to be. I am an anti-bandwagoneer, despite my love for The Oregon Trail computer game. So how I wound up with a copy of 50 Shades of Grey in my hands is a mystery destined to remain unsolved.

Tennessee is known for hosting some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world, and it’s imperative to know which one is really worth your money, time, and travel. First, we’re going to look at Nashville’s very own CMA Music Festival, also known as Fan Fair X and compare it to Manchester, Tennessee’s famous Bonnaroo. From the dawn of Rock and Roll, from first base to home, sex has been a lyrical topic. In it’s infancy, artists had to shroud the intent from the prying ears of the government (via the FCC) and parents. As the music became more daring in the late 60′s, the envelope was pushed as lyrics played more explicitly with double entendres. In the song “Slow Ride” we have not only lyrical examples of this, but musical ones, as well.

You don’t drive home ad record-breaking speed to make sure you’re home in time for Grey’s Anatomy; you set your DVR. Yes, it seems like digital technology is changing the way we do everything, even listening to the radio.
Kabbalah is like sports? Say what?
Okay, let me explain … Just look at how the NBA and NHL playoffs madness takes on a life of its own. People are warming up their intention, how they think, and what they want for their favorite team, even on days when there are no games scheduled.
The TV and Internet are virtually bombarding us with this “intention.” People are wearing their favorite team colors, even painting their faces! Many sports fans put bumper stickers or flags on their cars to support their favorite team. Everyone’s talking about it, bars and restaurants plan special meals and discounts around it, and it’s slowly becoming America’s main event, even for those who are not ardent fans. Incredibly, what happens is that masses of people begin living through the same emotions.
What does this have to do with Kabbalah? The fact is people who study Kabbalah may look like they’re doing something remarkably similar: working up a special “intention” (of bestowal), pumping up their thoughts and wants in a particular direction, and rooting for an elusive quality called “bestowal” in every way possible. They cheer each other on just as fans cheer on their favorite team.
The court martial of Army Pfc. Bradley Manning opened Monday, June 3, 2013, atFort Meade, Maryland, before Colonel Denise Lind. The trial begins three years after Manning’s arrest. Manning pleaded guilty to ten charges against him in February and already faces up to twenty years in jail. Of the 22 total counts the prosecutors are pursuing, the most serious is that he knowingly “aided the enemy” by transmitting classified documents to the open source websiteWikiLeaks.
“The Daily Howl” is a self-promoting band from Nashville that combines pop-rock lyrical styles with blues and jazz harmonics. The four members of the band, Blake Burton, Kodi Tenes, and brothers Aaron and Matthew Dates, have been touring all over Tennessee and have recently released their new EP album The Revolver.
Obama ran in 2008 on many promises. He won. One of those promises was to close the U.S. detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In 2009, Obama signed an executive order to close the prison and later that same year with the prison still open, he received the Nobel Peace Prize and again said it would close. Then, in 2012 he ran again, reiterating this promise during his campaign, and won re-election. Now most recently throughout the month of May, President Obama has repeated his promise, all these years later, to finally close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp.
It is the summer of 2013, and you are up on your 2 year contract with you cell phone provider. It is finally time for an upgrade to a new cell phone of your choosing, and this time you want to upgrade to one ofthose smartphones that you keep seeing everyone carry, but you just don’t know which one to buy. There are so many options to choose from, and you really have no idea how to make a well-informed decision. The sales people at the store just start throwing all these numbers at you and things you don’t understand. You just want a phone that works and does what you want it to do on the go. All you need is Facebook, email, a decent camera, and something that can get you from point A to B without any hassles and possibly a quick game or two!

In response to recent revelations that the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) used its substantial power of the audit to target political opponents of the Obama Administration (including TEA party activists and other vocal conservative groups) protesters nationwide have taken to the streets to demonstrate against the unchecked powers of the IRS. Here in Nashville, for example, over 100 liberty-minded Americans gathered in front of the Federal Building on Broadway Street holding up signs that read some of the following; “Abolish the IRS” and “Be Afraid: the IRS will Come After You”. While these expressions rightfully point to the corrupt and even unconstitutional power of the IRS, the more important message should not be missed amidst this case of government malfeasance: that the American public has grown increasingly weary of standing up to a federal government who wields near total power.
Here each week, I will run down what is coming out on DVD/Blu-ray, along with my personal opinion on whether you should Buy It, Rent It, or Forget About It. Also, each Friday I will let you know which movies will be released in theaters. The religion clauses of the First Amendment are brief, but to understand their importance, what they mean, and how they came about requires delving into history and Constitutional law. That is what Dr. Paul Sharkey will do in a talk on Saturday, June 22 at Green Hills Public Library, 3801 Benham Avenue in Nashville. The talk, at 10:15 am, will be followed by discussion. Afterward, some will adjourn to a nearby restaurant for lunch and to honor Novia Sharkey for her stand against religious intolerance, which will be explained below.
