Since I’ve pulled my face out of my keyboard I thought I’d meta a little about what’s going and just flail over some of my favorite things in this. OK? Okaaaay. *fingerguns*

Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai designed nails. You can even play puppet theater using Yashiro nails and Doumeki nails!

Nails were done by a BL webmagazine Chil-chil’s reporter without disclosing her job. The nail salon specializes on character nails, catering to any need with a set rate of about $11 per 10 minutes. It took about 3 hours and costed about $200 dollars in total, but seems worth it if you look at the fine details of the Saezuru volume 2 cover design.

I’m not into decorating nails, but won’t mind playing puppet theater with Yashiro and Doumeki. ;)

Yoneda-sensei drew this gorgeous illustration for the signing that was held at the ihr HertZ & Craft Exhibition last Saturday. Everyone who participated got a postcard version of it that Sensei signed for them.

The venue was very small it seems. The Japanese fans on Twitter who won a spot in the lottery said there were only about 40 chairs in the room. The participants were divided into three groups, so a total of about 120 fans got to see and talk to Sensei that day. It was an open stage event, so everyone could look at Sensei while she signed everyone’s postcards. During the initial greeting she asked everyone in the room who their favorite character was. Most fans raised their hands for Yashiro, but there were also a few votes for Doumeki and occasionally Misumi. Kuga, Nanahara and Ryuuzaki got no or close to no votes it seems.

Everyone says Sensei looked gorgeous. I’m not sure if she changed into different clothes for each set, but one fan wrote she was wearing a beige dress with polka dots, someone else talked about a white patterned blouse and wedge sandals. Anyway, she took her time to talk to everyone individually for a bit and also shook hands upon request. After she had signed the postcards, everyone also got an IC card case* as a gift from her which had the yellow aloha illustration from the last ihr HertZ cover printed on it.

*Prepaid plastic cards that you can use in trains and buses, or to pay at convenience stores and stuff.
