All my friends say I should move on, that I can’t keep singing these sad songs. They don’t know that I’m a lost cause. I can’t let go, because you’re the only one that I want.

shout out to all the protectors. you guys do so much for everyone and everyone is so grateful for you, you help people at their worst and make it so much easier for those who are struggling. remember that you’re your own person too, you can ask for support just like how people ask for support from you. 

shout out to all the caretakers. y’all are lovely and handle such an important job, and honestly keep the system together. the work you do to look after people and make sure they’re taken care of is always appreciated and helps so much. remember that you are always doing enough, and everyone admires you so much for the role you hold.

shout out to all the traumaholders. seriously, traumaholders do not get enough recognition for the things they go through to keep us safe. y’all hold horrible things inside just to ease our lives and help us stay stable and i am soso grateful for you. remember that it’s okay to struggle and your entire identity isn’t just remembering bad things that happened; you’re loved and worthy and it’s okay to cry when you need to.

shout out to all the persecutors. you are just as important and whole as the rest of the system and you play just as crucial of a part. things are rough, and you’re doing what you can. remember that you deserve to be acknowledged and respected, and you are not hated or unworthy. 

shout out to all the hosts and cohosts. you guys hold so much responsibility for the system and that’s super admirable! everyone appreciates you taking over and handling life and keeping everything manageable. remember that it’s okay to step back when things get overwhelming, and you don’t have to tackle everything on your own. 

shout out to all the gatekeepers. i have no idea where the system would be without you! you keep everything organized and make sure everyone is accounted for. without your hard work, things would be all over the place and confusing. remember that you are very appreciated and have one of the most important roles in a system; you do not go unnoticed and everyone is so grateful for what you do.

special shout out to the fictives and factives. you’re all valid for who you are and your own people, and you deserve to be respected just as you are. whether you separate yourself from your source or not, you are accepted and wonderful and i appreciate you.
