deeply considering joining a quilting group in my city so I can kiki with and learn from some sweet old ladies. fabric is so expensive though </3

but like I looked into it earlier and there's one specific group that really appeals to me because they meet twice monthly - once for a drop in sewing session, and once for an agenda-based meeting where they plan events, sewing challenges, charity projects, material swaps, classes, etc etc etc. I do wonder if there are like. cliques within my local sewing communities. and how much those groups are divided by method vs personalities or what have you.

OH one specific thing I saw this group doing currently is a raffle quilt. :) every block you add to the quilt = one entry into the raffle and the winner gets the completed quilt. I think that is SO cool and cute and awesome and inspiring and joyous and lovely and wonderful. what would be better than a prize made together by you and all your arts and crafts friends? they even have the block template up on their website along with some specific guidelines to keep it cohesive. the blocks are due by their july meeting or else I'd be jumping to get all up in that action.

It feels like I can never find oc/character templates that quite fit what I'm looking for, so I finally made something! My husband got me into WoW, so that's obviously what it's for, but I think it's broad enough to be used for other things as well! :)

I took some inspiration from various templates online, as well as video games and tabletop sheets (especially VtM). The half-circles on the right are transparent so that color palettes can be dropped in easily. This is free for credited non-commercial use, so feel free to reblog the post with your filled out versions; I'd love to see how y'all use it!

had a wonderful dream last night that I bought two packs of pall mall menthol 100s

also had a dream a couple days ago that I raised a bunch of jellyfish from their microscopic stage to fully grown beautiful and healthy creatures. their tank got jostled and one landed on the back of my neck. I must have bumped into it. I felt the sting of my child's hug so vividly on my skin, I was surprised when I woke up and felt no pain at all.
