Shura let the words settle. They loosened something in her chest, even if only a little. She drew in a slow breath through her nose, forcing herself to swallow the frustration before it could spill onto the one person who didn't deserve it.
A faint smile found its way onto her face as she looked up.
"...Are you free right now?"

10. What kind of things are they into?
Shura enjoys confidence more than polished romance. She's attracted to people who can match her wit, challenge her without trying to control her, and aren't intimidated by her reputation. She likes a sharp tongue, the playful teasing, shameless flirting, and a competitive energy.
Physical affection isn't something she hands out freely, which makes it more meaningful when she does. She's weak for rough, calloused hands against her skin, someone stepping into her space with quiet confidence, fingertips grazing the small of her back, or a hand settling at her hip as if they already know she won't pull away. She craves the kind of tension where every touch feels earned rather than expected.
More than anything, competence is ridiculously attractive to her. Watching someone wield a sword with precision, calmly stitch up a wound, cook with practiced hands, or keep their composure in the middle of chaos has a way of making her grin. Confidence backed by ability? That's the quickest route under her skin.

She's adventurous, open-minded, difficult to embarrass, and acts on impulse. She enjoys playing with power dynamics but if something feels forced or performative she'll lose interest immediately.

For someone with such a confident mouth, Shura is surprisingly vulnerable when she's the one receiving genuine affection. She can dish out flirting all day long, but sincere compliments or unexpectedly gentle touches have a habit of leaving her momentarily speechless. She'll usually recover by making a joke, rolling her eyes, or calling the other person an idiot, but the faint blush gives her away every time.

Once he had confirmation, Jaden flicked the lighter and sparked up a little flame, then held it steady while the exorcist leaned close towards his hand. All the while, he watched Shura's hair, half admiring the way it shone in the gentle fire light and half watching it to make sure the flame didn't too close. Burnt hair is always an unpleasant smell, a terrible ordeal to go through, and a pain in the ass to put out.
"And considering how much you put up with the boys, I'd wager you're about overdue." Jaden loved Dennis dearly, and was growing fond of Rin in his own ways, but teenagers were still teenagers and they're a lot to deal with. Between the unsteady, squeaky voices, the smarter-than-everyone attitudes, gung-ho readiness, smell-- there's a lot of reasons to lose one's patience around them, put simply.
"Finally!" She blew out, leaning back dramatically, "Someone says it aloud!" Shura knew she deserved at least a beach episode for all her work. Just wrangling Rin alone, but add in the other exwires - none of which she was paid to mentor - doing that out of the kindness of her heart! "But with Angel as a boss, annual leave aint so easy t'come by".

There's a dangerous length of quiet from Dennis. Thoughts are brewing and words are formulating to become: "Your hands are too pretty to be scissors."
"..." she blinked, lifting her hands up to glance at her fingers, "Yeah... that's what I meant" she muttered. Her hand moved to his shoulder, "Thank you Dennis".
So I'm actually quite tempted to write Crowley from Supernatural... But I CBA to make my own icons for him 😬

"Wouldn't you, since I'm obviously the most handsome guy you know? Duh. Come on, are you calling me a liar? That's not how you get men to like you, you know." He kept going on. "But anyway, I just made that up, so— hey!"
Gojo's grin vanished as he exclaimed at the sight of her blatant theft. How could she? "These are all limited edition flavors! I didn't get to try that one yet..." Pout on his lips, he slumped back in his chair, hidden eyes on the cookie in her hand.
"Well? At least tell me how it tastes. Was it worth committing a crime?"
That pout on his lips only added to the sweetness of the cookie. Her eyes moved between the cookie, his face, back to the cookie, savouring the bite she had taken.
"Mmm..." she hummed, swallowing her bite and leaning back in her chair. "With Cookies this good, I think I'll survive without men likin' me" she practically purred at the treat, a lazy grin tugging at her lips.
"Although..." She held the cookie up between two fingers, inspecting it like some fine wine critic. "It is a bit sweet." Another bite. "Nice crunch."
Her eyes slid toward him over the rim of the cookie. "Oh, don't gimme that look. Yer six foot somethin', and yer about two seconds away from cryin' over a biscuit." She reached over and poked the center of his forehead. "Dramatic ass." The amusement in her voice softened the insult.
"What did you just say?!"
Shura is here and winks at you!
She just settled down for the night, a hot chocolate and snacks within reach. Her hair down and slippers off, she clicked the remote for her reality TV. Pray for anyone who thinks now is a good time to interrupt her evening.

Shura wasn't a hugger and that wasn't changing anytime soon, but her hand came up anyway, messing up his hair with a snort.
"Oi. What's with the clingin'?" she muttered before glancing at him properly. "…Everythin' okay, kid?"
