The best representation of the Lupin iii manga is not anything that's ever been made for the Lupin iii anime. In my opinion, the best representation of how the Lupin iii manga feels is the Alice OVA.
The character animation is exactly how you'd expect a Monkey Punch character to movie and its got everything MP's work has including the problematic/bad tastes stuff.
I kinda like it and its kinda horrible.

There’s a lot of fanfiction I read where characters do act in the most logical way possible and those suck. There’s no drama, no tension, no conflict.
Guarantee they’re written by the same people who make these posts or at least who share the sentiments in them.
