She didn’t need help, no. Because she didn’t want to go back yet, and once she decided to, she would find her way. Most likely. Well, probably. But that was a problem for later. “It’s fine. Didn’t take me long to realize how many people in this world aren’t even worth it. I’m not saying that I am, but I think you know what I mean.” There was her new attitude showing. It developed through her first months in the US, once that realization sunk in. Not unlike her mother, Christina had come to the conclusion that most of the human race were a disgusting and frustrating kind.
Arya shrugged at her comment sighing softly. “Oh, yeah I know. Believe me, sometimes I just want to give up on people, but then there’s always that little bit of hope that there’s still good people, like my sister, who’d basically give up their arms and legs, and everything else just to help someone. But the more I look the more I realize there isn’t. I don’t know why I try anymore, I guess I want to just try and be a good person. But you see how that turns out.” She said as she stared up at the sky. “Well, you’re always welcome to chill out here with me if you’d like.” She offered with a shrug.
Christina struggled to swallow any comments about how nobody had to tell a girl who was murdered a long time ago about the cruelty of this world. And it definitely didn't get better while she was gone. "I know very few good people, and I know I can consider myself lucky because I've met any at all. Still, I can't help wondering how humanity turned out this horribly. My mum was so right. She saw it coming." The girl looked confused for a moment, needing a few seconds to figure out what that meant. 'Chill out'? Had she heard that before? From Claudia or Pete, perhaps. But she mostly talked to her mother, and Helena didn't usually use expressions like that. "I suppose you're saying you wouldn't mind if I stayed for awhile?"
