This shit we call life, man. Our parents told us we can be anything. It's a halfway truth. Because of that we grow up feeling entitled. Like the world owes us something. Like we deserve the finer things in life. If you never had them, it's everything. If you've always had them, it's everything. Then you have kids or a wife, a family, and you realize that all that shit that you thought was so important isn't important at all. It's all about health and happiness then. Ensuring your kids grow up and live. We think we're destined for greatness, because we're us, until we realize that we're not. Everybody is trying to get it. There's a billion stories you don't know about. Don't rely on perceptions. Don't be too quick to "know" things. At 21, we thought we knew it all. At 25, we realize we didn't know shit. At 30, don't get me started. Imagine what we'll "know" when we're 40. When I speak to people I try to say truths because that person might be the last person that I speak to. Nobody has ever told me this was all for me. I just want to be around some real shit. The greatest skill that I have acquired as a young adult is learning how to listen. Work hard. And then work even harder. That's the only way we're going to get it. And even then it's still not guaranteed. Neither is tomorrow.
