there's   a   quiet   in   mos   pelgo   freetown   that   the   mandalorian   can't   help   but   find   somewhat   comforting.   in   the   vastness   of   space   ,   quiet   is   something   he's   become   accustomed   to   ,   both   when   flying   from   job   to   job   or   when   just   being   on   his   own.   he's   almost   always   alone   &   wallowing   in   silence   whenever   he's   working   ,   which   is   why   moments   when   he   can   see   the   few   people   he's   allowed   himself   to   trust   all   the   more   important   to   him   ,   allowing   him   not   to   feel   quite   so   lonely   as   he   usually   does.   perhaps   the   quiet   of   the   town   isn't   what   makes   it   so   comfortable   to   come   back   to.   perhaps   .   .   .   maybe   it's   because   that's   how   he   feels   whenever   in   the   marshal's   presence.

cobb   vanth   is   not   only   a   welcomed   ally   ,   but   a   trusted   friend   whom   he'd   gladly   lay   his   life   for   (   though   that   fact   would   remain   a   secret   from   him   for   now   ).   it's   been   a   long   while   since   their   venture   with   krayt   dragon   ,   yet   he   keeps   finding   himself   back   here   in  this   small   little   town   ,   unable   to   move   on   despite   knowing   he   should.   it's   only   the   two   of   them   in   the   bar   right   now   ,   the   weequay   having   gone   back   to   retrieve   some   just   delivered   materials.   maybe   vanth   has   had   a   little   too   much   to   drink   ,   maybe   it's   the   comfort   they   share   when   speaking   to   one   another   ,   but   when   the   marshal's   form   begins   to   lean   against   his   own   ,   his   head   now   resting   against   tough   beskar   ,   din   finds   himself   not   only   surprised   ,   but   unable   to   move   away.   once   the   bartender   returns   ,   he   no   doubt   would   fix   the   marshal   back   upright   without   much   quarrel   or   issue.   after   all   ,   he   did   have   an   image   to   protect   ━━   they   both   did   ,   but   for   now   ?   for   now   ,   din   can't   help   but   enjoy   the   comfort   in   knowing   how   trusting   the   marshal   seems   to   be   with   him   ,   at   least   ,   enough   to   do   this   without   any   sort   of   hesitation.   not   even   beskar   armor   could   stop   the   beating   that   was   his   heart   in   this   moment   ,   heart   rate   escalating   the   longer   they   sit   here   together.   if   only   the   armor   wasn't   there   ,   then   he   could   feel   the   weight   of   him   fully   .   .   .      the   warmth   of   his   skin   .   .   .
