Look at my Crooked Ear. She might be a big girl but she’s also my permababy and a lap dog for life. She was shockingly well behaved during archery practice yesterday. She likes to sit right between my legs as I shoot.

Your skill level is unquestionable but listen.
I love him.
I used to have a studio on this block. I’m came here and drank coffee and ate fries when I didn’t know what to paint.
"Sewing is a gateway drug to thinking through complex problems. It seems really simple; culturally, we make it women's work. Let me tell you: real sewing at any kind of level of proficiency is a bloody magic trick. Sewing, like mold making, involves mental frames that require one to think inside out and backwards. It requires one to work on an order of operations that is often taking into account the reverse. It's a really, really important skill, and if you learn how to sew, you're mostly on your way to carpentry and welding and sheet metal work. I'm not kidding: these are planar forms meeting under rules and conditions. And if you can make a sleeve work, I swear to God, you could build a house."

Free idea for toy companies: Dolls based on Pac-Man
The ghosts are made from transparent or translucent plastic, and have monochrome color schemes, with their skin tone, hair, and clothes each matching Inky, Pinky, Blinky, or Clyde. They all have blue LEDs inside that light up and turn the whole doll blue
Pac-Man and/or Ms Pac-Man are taller and yellow, of course, possibly with pearlescent plastic, I dunno, whatever. The point of this is to get us some clear fantasy skin tone dolls
So. I need to do some face ups, but it's been awhile. I thought I could jump straight back in, but haha, nope! That did not go well. I decided it was best to practice on something else to get back in the swing of things. I found these two Rainbow High heads I had started back some years ago and hoped for the best.
Tbf, I didn't do too much to this Bella repaint wise since she was mostly done already. I did have to go over the eye lash lines and woo boy. Maybe I should practice with calligraphy instead XD I also screwed up the paint when reinserting the eyes.
(man everything looks so chunky here) I repainted the eyeliner and scraped off the excess with a toothpick. It's still noticeable in person, but eh. Nothing's ever perfect.
I wasn't sure I was going to like her outcome and considered putting her up for sale, but I think I'm happy with her now. Finally!
Years ago when Bella Parker first came out I was smitten with her promo photos because I loved the soft pink and faux Channel suit. A friend helped me get her and I was so happy! But as time went on I started to feel.. underwhelmed? Something wasn't clicking for me (which is something I've felt with most RH despite their better quality and design compared to other dolls at the time).
One day, I decided to do something drastic to the pale pink Bella. I painted her lips black!: https://www.tumblr.com/zaksdolls/650441822922063872/some-really-quick-doll-stuff-done-right-now-i and then I was unsure how to proceed. If I went full goth then I'd have to make her a whole new look and I wasn't really up for that either. So she was stuck in limbo. But then after some RH commissions I decided to take the leap and repaint my own. That fire lasted all for one month before being stored away for years, haha.
But this was fun. And while I didn't do too much repaint wise, it was still nice to remember how to do doll things again and I really do like how she came out. She looks like a little rebellious nepo baby that stirs shit at Thanksgiving dinner. XD
yesss your choice of black lips really elevated this doll!!
There’s a real live leopard in here somewhere 😻

Someone gifted me this doll because they said the hair reminded them of me. So I styled her with stuff I would wear.
Taking a selfie in the bathroom while waiting for a friend. The rooftop bar where this bday party was happening was very photogenic.
Used the rest of the red geometric floral, as well as the last of the blue and green geometric fabric, for this dress. Putting them together felt like cheating, because they were both designed by Tula Pink
The doll is a Creata Flower Princess Leanna head on a Fresh Dolls body
