We sincerely apologize for the long-overdue recap post! We have successfully finished Seungkwan’s 20th Birthday Project! Our Korean representative (alongside our admin) have safely delivered the gifts to Pledis on January 13th, 2016.

Gifts: 1. A fountain pen engraved with Seungkwan’s name. 2. A set of Haikyuu comic books. 3. A World Vision Fruit Trees donation under Seungkwan’s name 4. Other clothes.

Hello Carats!

International Carats is back again with another birthday project! This time for SEVENTEEN’s kind-hearted, 4D rapper Vernon ! This birthday project and support will include:

Friendship Bracelet Love, Dream & Hope: Vernon is one of few idols in K-Pop who was raised in a multicultural household. These bracelets support children from multicultural families living in Korea who are in need. We hope that these children would be able to grow up strong and achieve their dreams as Vernon has. 

Decoded by Jay-Z: We miss Rapper Vernon, too, and are glad that he’s on his way! We will be sending Vernon a copy of Jay-Z’s autobiography so that he can draw inspiration from the life story and pictures of one of the biggest rap moguls in the world.

Gryffindor Scarf: Vernon famously loves the Harry Potter book series and identifies himself as a Gryffindor. We will get him a red and gold scarf with Gryffindor crest on it so that he show off his House colors.

Others: With the remaining funds, we will be getting Vernon some cute snapbacks and jerseys.

Mayday Whistle & My BF Bear: Since DK is known as the “Human Loudspeaker” of Seventeen, we will be getting him a Mayday Whistle necklace and My BF teddy bear from Befriend Market, which supports prevention of violence against women and children and reminds us to speak loudly for those who live in fear.

Compact Humidifier: DK famously packed a huge humidifier for One Fine Day only to leave it behind with his luggage. This cute compact humidifier can be taken anywhere so our main vocal can breathe well wherever he goes (maybe even Yeoseodo)!

Phone Chargers: Since DK is constantly on-the-go and he often loses his phone charger, we will be getting him phone chargers and cables so our Smile Man can stay charged.

Others: With remaining funds, we will be getting DK sweatshirts and sweaters to stay warm in the winter.

Dear Carats,

We’d like to sincerely apologize for not being as active on our Tumblr as much as before. Our admins and other members have been very busy these past several months, so it has been quite difficult for us to answer questions on both Tumblr and Twitter. Is there anyway yall can communicate with pledis and see if svt can tour in the USA soon?

We apologize but we don’t think that we can make a formal inquire to Pledis regarding that issue. But perhaps if you can contact local promotors in the US and assure them that bringing Seventeen over would be worth it, they would be able to contact Pledis for you~^^

Hello Carats!

International Carats is back again with another birthday project! This time for SEVENTEEN’s adorable dancing machine and maknae Dino ! This birthday project and support will include:

Heartbeat Bear: We will purchase the Heartbeat Bear doll for Dino, with proceeds going to support the HeartHeart Foundation’s efforts to help children with heart disease with treatment and surgery costs. As Dino is the last minor left in SVT, we hope that these children will also grow up to be strong and pursue their dreams like our Dino.

Personalizaed Cuff Links and Tie Clip: As Dino is graduating soon from high school, we hope that these cuff links and tie clip will inspire him to start off adulthood with class and style.

Dinosaur Aromatherapy Doll: We hope that Dino remembers his namesake - dominating the stage like a dinosaur - but also takes care of his health and stress level when he is resting.

Engraved Pen: We will purchase a customized fountain pen engraved with Seungkwan’s name because he likes calligraphy and he often writes lyrics.

Donation of Fruit Trees via Worldvision: We will make a donation to Worldvision under Seugnkwan’s name to plant ten fruit trees (including an orange tree) in Ethiopia because our Jeju boy loves oranges and other fruits.

Haikyuu Comic Books: We will purchase a set of Haikyuu manga books for Seungkwan to read since he is interested in volleyball and already knows the series. 

Sweaters: With the rest of the funds for Seungkwan’s birthday, we will purchase warm sweaters for him to wear since it is currently very cold in South Korea. Perfect for sweater weather!

A Guitar With Carats’ Wishes: We will purchase a guitar and write Carats’ birthday wishes for Joshua all over it. We will pick the best 30 messages to write on the guitar. You may participate by emailing your message to [email protected] using the following guidelines:

No more than 20 words total (remember, we’re going to write this on the guitar so it has to be short and sweet!)

Custom Guitar Capo: Along with the guitar, we are also getting Joshua a custom guitar capo with his name engraved on it.
