Small Rant thing?

Just so you know, please don't start drama by this. I'm asking a question. Also, don't be hurt by this. This is my opinion

I have a small question. Why do people headcanon genders of characters? I don't understand.

Like, let me bring up an example. I think, before episode 12, that it was perfectly fine to headcanon Paintbrush as non-binary or as female or male, because we didn't know their gender. But now that we know, I dont think it's necessary to headcanon anymore.

Same with lightbulb. She is canonly trans. She went from male to female in episode 4 of season 1. Therefore, we don't headcanon her as trans, because it's canon.

But I see people headcanoning other objects as non-binary or trans, when they are canonly male or female. I don't really understand.

I understand 100% that people can headcanon what they want, and they are free to do so! I am not trying to shame anyone for what they like to do. I just, kind of don't agree.

I 100% agree with headcanoning sexualities, just not genders.

Again, I don't want to shame anyone for liking to headcanon genders. I'm simply speaking my mind. Hopefully no one gets offended.
