My SHOULDERS are WAY TOO POOFY!

Body pattern and the arm of the sleeve work pretty well, but I need to try to slim up the bell of the sleeve to fit my shoulders better. I actually like the peaks, but there is way too much room at my bicep, so I gotta fix that. But I otherwise do love this 90s Bowling Alley floor sweater with 80s shoulders that gives off the subtlest of Queer Vibes.

I will be doing one (1) basic bitch taupe cream and Millenial Pink TM sweater to perfect the sleeves, and then...it is onto The Project. The one I designed this sweater for.

my biology professor has such a chaotic energy about him, last week i went to his office hours and somehow we ended up on the topic of gay marriage:

he said that when he lived in texas they changed the law to define marriage as “between a man and a woman in a house of religious worship with the intention to have children” so he filed his taxes as single and when they called him up like “you filed married last year” he was like “you changed the law, i was married by a judge in a courthouse and i have no intention of having kids” and they told him “you know who that law was for” and i guess he hung up on them and did not, in fact, pay taxes as a married man that year

This is a big reason why the movement to take away the word ‘Queer’ and exclude parts of our communities is gaining so much traction.  We lost our elders and with them, our history.  So TERFs and other bad actors have gained a lot of power because this generation largely isn’t here anymore to dispute them.  They’re building their vision of the queer community on the dead bodies of those we lost.

My annual fall project. Just added the sleeves on. It might be done by Halloween, and I definitely plan to wear it at Thanksgiving dinner!

Yarn Types and Feelings:

Worsted: Nothing to see here. This is the archetype of yarniness and I am the archetype of knitting. Stable. Secure. Can pass off hobby as casual if need be. 

Bulky: I am a WIZARD and I am making VAST amounts of cloth appear by MAGIC. You get a hat! And you get a hat! Everybody gets a hat! Also my scarf is now 18 ft long but that’s just…you know. For fun. 

Baby/Sport: I am making littol things. Every stitch represents tender love. Yes I did listen only to horror podcasts while making this but what does that matter? There’s a lace flower but a baby’s existence is all about showing off what you can make, just because I’m not a parent doesn’t mean I can’t be part of that.

Sock/Fingering: Completely unhinged. Every project is the building of an obsession-washed edifice, that will never, ever, ever be done. Time ceases to exist. Worse podcasts must be found, worse movies must be found, because the most important parts of the brain must serve THE PATTERN.
