What is a Fanzine? A Fanzine is a āFan Magazineā dedicated to a popular topic that features a collection of work from individual artists all across the fandom. In our fanzine we are hoping to create a spread that includes the various styles and works of wonderful artists in the community, with sections dedicated to each show from Watcher.
Our goal is to give artists the opportunity to show off their work and love for the fandom. This specific Fanzine is a passion project for Watcher and will not be making any profits, so if you are looking to make money here, this Fanzine is not for you!Ā
The main focus of this magazine will be Artwork, however we are also looking for anyone who has graphic design abilities and editing abilities (either photo editing or beta reading). We are also looking for individuals who have the ability to organize and manage a small team of 3-5 people, and who have creative direction skills.
How is this Fanzine Organized?
When we have chosen our contributors, we will be organizing the construction of this project and primarily communicating on Discord. If you do not have Discord or plan to create a Discord, do not apply. This app is imperative to keep the project flowing.Ā
Applications are Open from August 3rd and Close August 31st.
Applicants will receive a follow up acknowledgement email on September 1st and an invitation to the Watcher Fan Artist Server (note - this is separate from the Fanzine Server and you do not have to join to be accepted for the Fanzine).
Acceptance/Rejection Emails will be sent out on September 7th.
Acceptance Emails will include a link to the Fanzine Discord Server, and accepted applicants who do not join the server by September 14th will be removed from the project.
