Hi internet! I'm putting together this blog for archiving polls about intersex stuff, and hopefully also signal boosting active polls.
If a poll ends and the poll options distinguish intersex/extersex/perisex respondents, I will post a visual with intersex-only results. The spreadsheet I'm using to compile those results is here.
ADVICE ON MAKING POLLS:
Give perisex people MULTIPLE options to vote so they don't overwhelm the poll. Also because if you don't give them an option to vote, they may vote anyway because they are curious about the results.
For giving perisex people three options: birth month (Jan-Apr, Jun-Aug, Sep-Dec)
For giving them four options: birth month season (autumn, winter, spring, summer), don't worry about hemispheres the goal is just to get them to not vote for intersex options
For giving them five options: birth year's last digit (0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9)
Give extersex (intersex questioning) people an option (or multiple!) to vote too.
SUBMITTING AN INTERSEX POLL:
You can tag this blog on a poll you put on your blog, and if I see it while it's still active, I'll reblog it! Head's up: I check Tumblr erratically so cannot guarantee I'll see it while it's active (sorry).
You can also submit a poll you want posted here! Guidelines:
It must be intersex related.
Remember there are a max of 12 options per poll, and 80 characters for each. If you go over, I'll either reword or just not bother.
You do not have to list off all options for me! You can just send me a question/theme and I can fill in the options.
If you do send poll options: a "see results" option or equivalent (e.g. "IDK" or "undecided") must be available.
If you want answers from only intersex people, you gotta provide options for perisex people to vote anyway.
There should be clear guidance (or poll options) for people who are questioning if they are intersex.
