P4 - Unused Reversed Social Link Dialogue for Yosuke
It's well known at this point that Yosuke has an unused voiced confession to Yu. I want to present another piece of unused data that I found to add on to this.
It is rare to Reverse a Social Link in P4/P4G, where it can only happen in Ai's Social Link or if you make Yu an asshole to Naoto. However that used to not only be the case. According to the unused data, it seems that the Social Link mechanics were initially going to be similar to P3, where every romancable Social Link can be reversed.
In P3, for romancable Social Links in particular, they can be reversed quicker if you hang out with another romancable Social Link (inciting jealously). I'm not sure if P4 was initially going to do the same kind of jealousy mechanic, but this Reverse Social Link idea got scrapped which is why there are some unused data for it.
What I find VERY interesting is that there was an unused line for when the Magician Social Link (Yosuke) is on Reverse. This takes place during a Dungeon entrance where Yu can talk to his party members. When Yu talks to Yukiko, she would comment on the strained relationship between him and Yosuke and suggests they should reconcile.
I want to note that there were only unused Reversed Social Link lines like these for party members who are romancable. For instance, there was one for Naoto, Yukiko, and Chie too. Yosuke was the ONLY male party member who has a Reversed line like this.
This is more evidence that Yosuke was originally going to be one of the romancable Social Links who can have their Social Link reversed. In other words, if we are going by P3 romance mechanics here, he would have been able to get jealous or think Yu is cheating on him. Or Yu could have said a wrong dialogue choice during a Social Link that upsetted him.
I find this interesting, and I am posting this because I want the Yosuke romance route to manifest in P4 Revival 🙏
Mejiro Ryan is so hot she's radioactive and I'm not going to hold back on saying it anymore

Hello~ I hope this message finds you well~ I was wondering if we’ll have chapter 9 of the Arven fanfic you’ve been writing on AO3 ? Pleaseeeee ??
I just came home for winter break from college a week ago actually! I've been catching up with my friends and finishing my games, so when I find the motivation I'll definitely update! Thank you sm for your interest 💖💖 i have NOT and will NEVER drop this fic
me & my sleepy gang of gangsters
Pt. 1 (?) of a Flambert cutscene I’m working on! Could also be considered a style study 😭 (This game has me in a headlock..)
omg my lasts posts are how you KNOW im in deep in the dispatch fixation im so washed
Invisigal irritates me but I still love her
Invisigal is just a mess of a character 😭😭😭 Her writing is just all over the place. "Complex character" and it's just a grown woman being immature and impulsive. Let's be serious. I can love a character while acknowledging the dev's shortcomings in writing her.
If you choose to keep her tied up she just rats robert out to the guy he's trying to taze and to me that just reveals her true intentions anyway. To me personally, her retorting in that petty way after she GAVE YOU a reason not to trust her anymore shows how not genuine she is about being a hero. You could be so nice to her before but keep her tied up after that obvious betrayal and suddenly she wants immediately fleeting payback. It's immature 😭
I know the phoenix program is all about rehabilitation and making bad guys go good but in my personal opinion invisigal is just so far into this self-sabotaging mindset of "no one thinks im capable of good" that it's not even enjoyable to continue being her mentor anymore. It's literally like constantly reassuring your mentally ill girlfriend that you dont hate her and you still love her every day.
Sure she joins the phoenix program immediately after planting the bomb on mecha man, which shows her remorse, but her CONTINOUSLY being a bitch and trying to withdraw from the program in episode 3 shows how she can't handle pressure of being a hero in the first place. Which is why I like her WAY BETTER as a villain.
But. This is just how I personally percieve her after the choices that I made in my own game. I like (and welcome) hearing other perspectives because honestly I'm still unsure on my stance about her. I love her so much 😭
The invisigal kiss in the locker room is a trope
And people are ABSOLUTELY forgetting that.
What happened to appreciating a nice little kiss from desperation? A final, selfish attempt to get the person you've been doing everything for to like you back???
I was shocked yes and lowkey, I can acknowledge (or more like feel) like the scene was kind of unneeded, but it was still a trope that's used in like. Countless media.
Invisigal is an obviously flawed character and after sitting on it for a couple days, I think I like her because of that.
Dispatch's writing still falls very flat on some points though and I might make a post about that later because I feel so passionate (and confused) about the choices made in the writers room I need to pick their brains
white man i have been enamoured with your tired energy and sarcastic lines
idk...dont ask i just saw that photo and thought "i should draw Rob and Roy"
Beautiful and danger.
