There’s heat lightning, and it’s close. Most of the Cybertronians not already inside have been recalled to the hangers, but Ironhide is still out somewhere. Sam can hear Will arguing with him over comms; something about “voltage thresholds” and “doubly-insulated.”

Sam smooshes himself further into Bumblebee’s plating. It’s a familiar song and dance by now. Sam hopes to be asleep by the time Ironhide staggers back to base, blissed out and stinking of ozone and melted plastic, while Will pretends to be angry with him and Ratchet is actually angry.

saw a post on bluesky about reimagining The Iliad as a mecha war and that idea goes unbelievably hard. achilles in his legally distinct gundam cutting through dozens of enemy suits. aggamemnon in his gold-plated mech. paris using a long range sniper rifle to exploit a design flaw in achilles' armor. the gods are all various megacorps who have a stake in the war bc it'll impact their profits.

We need to conquer space travel for the only reason that zero-g would allow for new never before seen pastries, you know how the top of the muffin is the best part? Well that is because it is exposed to air so it changes the chemistry, in normal earth gravity it is impossible to make a muffin that is all top part because it needs to be placed somewhere which would restrict air flow, however in zero g it would be possible to make a bubble out of muffin dough which gets optimal airflow and becomes an all-top part muffin... This is the dream...
