Keep it up, DisneyÂ

That IS great, but weâve had a lot of this before. I wish people wouldnât ignore the older movies, especially the classics, to praise the new ones-
Girls who had to work hard for something and succeeded:
Parental abuse:
Labels donât define you:
Overcoming depression:
Learning to trust:
Diverse cast and shows science is exciting:
Probably far more than that, but thatâs just a few off the top of my head.
Then there is Lilo and Sitch which covers:
-The value of family, as well as the message that you can make your own family and that family is as valuable as the one you are born with
-Overcoming labels slapped on you by others and that you can make your own path (Stitch is labeled a monster at the start and by the end, he has overcome some of his programming and is a productive member of society)
-Determination can lead to success
-Arguably overcoming depression, since Lilo does start off as a very sad little girl and gets better over the course of the movie
-The main cast is non white, either Hawaiian or SamoanÂ
-Accepting the differences in others (the humans and aliens grow to work together)
-There is not a big romantic plot at all, since the movie is more focused on the bonds and love of a family.Â
lilo and stitch is just the best movie ever
Letâs not forget Pleakley dressed as a woman and no one said anything. He was accepted for who he was
Selfie Fables by Simona Bonafini
A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered. Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labor pain to the baby's father. He asked if they were willing to try it out. They were both very much in favor of it. The doctor set the pain transfer to 10% for starters, explaining that even 10% was probably more pain... than the father had ever experienced before. However, as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and kick it up a notch. The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband was still feeling fine. The doctor checked the husband's blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing. At this point, they decided to try for 50%. The husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping out the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic. When they got home, the mailman was dead on the porch.
Shit!
OH HELL NAH.
The first cats of spring emerge
I loved this scene so much. The actors play off this pairing as flirty and adorable in a way the characters really werenât in the novels IMO.Â
That said, when she said the line, âGirls see more blood than boys,â my husband was all confused and like, âWhat, warrior women, she means?â
So I just looked at him and started listing off, âBlood from their periods every month, maybe blood from sex, blood from childbirth, blood from tending and washing the wounded and deadâŠThatâs been true for most of womankind all through history.â
And he got very, very quiet.
Iâve reblogged this before, but Iâm reblogging again for the commentary because this little exchange is like a wink to the female audience that I really loved and I guarantee you that any woman who saw this would know exactly what she means. There are a pretty big chunk of men in the world who donât think that âwomenâs workâ or womenâs bodies are worth knowing about. Also I think find it really amusing when he tries to pass off his ignorance with, âyouâre different, youâre not like other womenâ and she immediately shuts that down.

If only dresses looked good on me
So in the movie Push, thereâs a scene where Chris Evans is making out with Camilla Belle and in that scene, he touches her butt. Chris Evans did not want to do that because he wanted direct permission from her to touch her butt and in the commentary, the director, Paul McGugan, called Chris âsuch a manâ for wanting her permission and I think everyone needs to know this story.
WHOEVER MADE THIS I LOVE YOU AND I HOPE YOUR FRIDGE IS ALWAYS FULL
Itâs weird because like, even the movie footage itself has their skin darker than the merchandise- itâs REALLY weird- the bottom one looks much more natural!
I just love the whole âAuroraâs dress is fucking blue okayâ aspect
And Cinderellaâs was white.
:-D
Arielâs was pink!
AND CINDERELLA FINALLY HAS HER STRAWBERRY BLONDE HAIR BACK
'It's weird' is code for 'wow whitewashing is real'
Taking naked pictures of yourself does not make you a bad person. People who share them without your permission are bad people.

All of this
We are all pretending to be something. Imitating something. Someone. And we are no more, and no less, than what we can convince other people that we are.

And if you think our generation is fucked, then youâre wrong. Our rooms are messy because weâre too busy fighting for equality. Our grades are dropping because weâre too busy protesting against corrupt systems. We are âsassingâ you because weâve finally learned we have a voice. You only think weâre a lost generation because weâve finally dug ourselves out from the oppression youâve buried us under. And trust me, we sure as hell will fight back.
I love watching Disney movies when youâre older and come across scenes like this. I laughed for five minutes.
Hades was the original sassy gay friend.
Of course he is the sassy gay friend, look at him he flaming.
