okay, so I saw this cute picture of Ryan Potter and Auli’i Cravalho together in my dash and I just NEED to make a version of their characters together cuz they look adorable af

This was so much fun to animate, by far one of my favorite on “Moana”! I’ve never animated to music before but I was very fortunate to work on 3 musical sequences on this project…and I learnt so much! Usually Animators dread having a 12 character shot! This was particularly fun trying to compose and time their entrances, trying to maintain clarity and also keeping the focus on Moana…not to mention all in 24 frames. I also did my best to try and develop a back story for all the characters, in an effort to make all their entrances unique. This shot actually started with 8 characters and I pleaded to add more! So much fun…I miss working on this movie! Only one month now, the countdown is on!!!!!

I am so excited for the release of “Moana”, by far my favorite project to work on since starting at Disney at the end of “Wreck-It Ralph”. Are you excited for this one?
