Big challenges
earlier today i told an acquaintance in passing that i'll often be in the middle of a novel and think "man i wish this shit were more ambiguous" and had to reiterate twice that i wasn't being sarcastic before they believed me, so this post is to say: i love when writers don't bother to explain everything, i love when stories end uncertain and unsettling, i love being required to think as a reader, i love when stuff makes no damn sense, no i'm not kidding
Pomegranates my beloved!!
love it when my cats make that one face when i scratch their chins. the -ﻌ- one you know what i mean.
artist rendition
Update of my dieffenbachia's growth! + artistic rendition of my long ass, sentient cockroach of a pothos that keeps growing way too fast and is taking over my furniture and making me lose my mind (affectionate)
I made gingerbread houses.
Is it perfect? Hell no.
Am I proud of my efforts? Hell yes!
Finally finished this little linocut guy. Still getting the hang of printing and playing with ink!
Hey, I've been following you for a while, and I absolutely LOVE your art, I'm not much of an artist myself but seeing your posts make me want to go back to drawing, if it's not much trouble, do you have any tips to learn/practice your art style?
Hey there anon,
First off thanks so much!! Always flattering when people wanna emulate your style.
Quick answer: Style studies! You honestly just have to practice drawing a certain way to get better at it. Like I struggle with anything that's not line heavy specifically cuz I don't practice that stuff ya know?
Longer answer: I talked about this in my latest video about what refs you can look at that have personally shaped my style, found here:
Hope this helps, and best of luck with diving back into art!!
