A year ago, I was finishing out my time in Poland. Reflecting on my experience, all of this is SO ACCURATE. (I wanted to go home so badly, and now I just want to go back. HAAAAAA.)
this kind of looks like what today felt like
omg wait i think this is a clip from the documentary on norwegian reindeer herders i watched on my trans-atlantic flight.
how i understand Polish...
Is this a picture of Bogdan Radomski's car when he wakes up in the morning?
Polish Word of the Day: NOWY ROK

I still have pictures to put up from my trip here in Poland, but this is my sister's face waiting for me back in America. She says it's her "YOU'RE COMING HOME IN 24 HRS. FACE"
This song has been playing constantly as I've been putting off ALL OF THE REFLECTION PAPERS and longing to head back home. Mine is not a one-way ticket, and I'm not taking a train, but so soon I will be west-bound.
That awkward moment when you don't have the correct change, so the cashier has to round up and give you 5 grosze instead of 3...
And she gets really mad at you. So mad that when you say "excuse me" to try to pay for another last minute item, she blatantly ignores you. BTW, 2 grosze ≤ 1penny... -________________-
This made it to the front page on Reddit... it's the inside of a bathroom on a Polish train from yesterday. Yes, it's THAT cold here.
This is what I assume Warsaw is going to be like for the rest of the time I'm here.
My sister just got accepted to her first choice university.
I'm so sad that I can't be there to celebrate with her.
But I am seriously so proud of her.
I'm reminiscing about that moment that I had when I got accepted to my first choice school and how amazing it was. I just wish that I could be at home to share it with her. :(

This is what I look like by the time 4 p.m. rolls around.
Today one of my professors took us out for cake and coffee instead of having class.
And at some point in our conversation, he told us--
"I got arrested in the 1970's. They came into my house and took me away and my family didn't know what had happened to me. They accused me of collaborating with the CIA. I kept saying 'Show me the proof,' and they never could. They held me for three months and then let me go."
Then one of my classmates asked, "So did you work for the CIA?"
And he said, "Of course."
Dylan and I are not amused that upon our arrival to literature class, the professor informed us that the class was cancelled.... again.
