where there used to be storms (inuyasha x sesshomaru, inuyasha, rated: m)

“Insolent whelp!” Jaken’s shrill voice echoed behind her as she waltzed through the castle doors. At the sound of his squawking, Inuyasha shot a nonchalant glance over her shoulder and raised a brow at the irate imp. “What now?” she grumped, though it wasn’t a huge leap to guess what had sent the toad into such a tizzy. She had left a trail of muddy footprints in her wake, leading from the entrance to the base of the staircase she was preparing to ascend - a souvenir from her morning tromp through the forest. “It’s just mud.” “Just - !” Jaken’s skin grew an impressively vibrant shade of red as he raged at her. “It’s filthy! You’re filthy. Where are your shoes - ?” “Left ‘em in my rooms,” Inuyasha returned cooly, rolling her eyes as Jaken sputtered incredulously at her answer. She’d made no secret of detesting the things, preferring to remain bare-footed at all times, but did anyone in this place fucking listen? Of course not. So much for being lady of the house, she scoffed.
