Front Piece Chapter 24 Sneak Peek
(AKA, Blooming friendships and one jealous friend 🤣)
This chapter will go live during the weekened.
“I’m telling you, this injury’s gonna affect the rest of the championship. Nobody wants to admit it but the guy carries the whole fucking team,” Koga expressed vehemently while assembling one of the bookshelves.
“Did they say how long his recovery is gonna take?” Inuyasha asked while assembling the other.
Miroku slightly pouted and scowled while he hooked all the wires from the TV and sound system as he observed the utter betrayal happening before his eyes.
His bestest of best friends, his brother from another mother, was being stolen right under his nose, and to add insult to injury, the wolf had invited Inuyasha to watch a soccer game on Thursday.
He didn’t get to brood much longer seeing as Sango sat on the floor near him to unpack a box of knickknacks.
After their earlier flirty conversation, Miroku was sure she’d finally say yes to going out with him.
Kagome was amazed at how fast her apartment was progressing from a chaotic warzone to a cozy home. With eight people working in perfect harmony—and three of them with yokai abilities—the usual hassle and stress that came with moving was pretty non-existent.
“Did your brother tell you he and Kaede went to the cinema?” Kikyo asked with a conspiratorial grin, and Kagome couldn’t help gaping at her.
“What?! No, he didn’t tell me anything, the sneaky twerp!”
“Yeah, they sorta went on a double date with her friend Rin and her boyfriend Shippo,” Yura explained, snickering, “Kaede stayed with us afterward and wouldn’t shut up about it. It was adorable.”
Kagome couldn’t help squealing but soon got serious at the mention of the sleepover. It wasn’t the first time she heard about Kaede spending the night at her sister’s house.
“Kikyo? I don’t mean to pry, but how’s the relationship between Kaede and your mother? I’m only asking because of some comments she made at the shrine and it honestly concerned me. And the fact that she stays with you sometimes, makes me think things aren’t fine at home,” Kagome asked as respectfully as possible given the delicate subject.
She saw Kikyo wince slightly before taking a deep breath.
