also i really need some fatfam in my life so maybe something cute like the fatfam (kiri, tama, and fatgum) talking about the raid and getting all emotional and shiz and like group hug?

Fatgum remembers the relief he’d felt when he was finally reunited with Tamaki. It was scary to leave him alone, but he knew that Tamaki could do it. And he did! He did so well. And Eijirou did good too. So good! He’s glad that they weren’t hurt as bad as they could have been, but still– seeing them hurting hurts him just as much.
Fatgum gives them both a month off to relax and get back to normal, but they show up a week later. Tamaki looks exhausted, like he hasn’t slept in that entire week, and Eijirou with a grimace and a look that says “put me back in, coach.” He almost contemplates sending them back at the door, but instead he just pulls them into his office.
Of all the pro heros he knows, Fatgum likes to consider himself the most lax; his office has a couch and arm chairs instead of a desk, and he keeps a fully loaded fridge in his closet. With a sigh, Fat sits the boys down on the couch and sits in one of the chairs across from it.
“I figured I’d see ya boys before the month was up, I jus’ didn’t expect ya so soon.”
“I need to keep busy.” Eijirou says, at the same time Tamaki whispers a quiet “I just want to go back to normal.”
Fat smiles at them. He’s known Tamaki for two years, and it’s nice to hear him voicing his own wants instead of staying silent, even under the circumstances. Eijirou…even if it was just for a short while, he feels they’ve gotten to know each other well.
“I know, boys. I ain’t givin’ ya a break for my own entertainment, y’know. Ya need it ta heal.”
“B- But… Recovery Girl did just fine healing us, sir…”
“Ya did your healin’ on the outside, Kirishima, but I mean on the inside. I know ya feel like you coulda done better, fought harder, prevented lotsa hurt, but yer just kids. Have some candy.” He tosses a bag of gummy bears at each of them, seeing the way both of their eyes shine at his words.
Tamaki looks down at the bag I his hands, but Fat can see the tears rolling off his face into his lap. “I don’t think either of us have been called that in a long time…Thank you, Fatgum.”
Fat smiles, coming over and squishing between the two teens. “One thing the hero course does is age ya a bit. But you two aren’t even eighteen yet, and ya need to be treated like the kids ya are sometimes; so how about we give it a little more time before we throw ya back into hero work, okay? I don’t know if I could live with myself if either of ya got hurt again right now.”
It’s Fatgum’s turn to tear up, and he does his best to hide it but he doesn’t have to. Tamaki and Eijirou both fling themselves at him, hugging him tight. He hugs back just as tight, trying to stop their shaking.
When someone comes to get Fat for patrol later, he’s fast asleep on the couch with Tamaki and Eiijirou asleep on his lap, eyes puffy and red, but a smile on his face.
