So, this is what I mean when I say y'all are your worst enemies, and that y'all are rabid.
I am optimistic, and I feel it is important to be so, as an activist. I also think it's important to have faith in the things you do for basic survival, tbh -- how is life worth living if you really think nothing matters and we're all doomed? Like why are you even talking to me if you really think that?
Plenty of people are trying to dismantle capitalism, and have been for as long as capitalism has existed. Though we have far to go, we have made great strides and continue to do so. The weekend exists. Maternity leave exists.
I have multiple communities that I am a part of. Everyone I'm close with is trying to wage whatever war they can against capitalism. We are all making progress, individually and collectively, even if it's sometimes very slow.
I was a vegan for five years and I lived in a vegan household of 13, in a vegan community of 36 people. There is literally nothing you can do to change that, as it is fact and also in the past.
I am here disagreeing with you bc you are ignorant and being very silly, in a negative way, and I think it's important to clap back when people like you propose stupid over-simplistic solutions to complex problems and then attempt to guilt and bully people into feeling bad for not supporting your delusions.
Maybe if everyone you're talking to keeps saying the same things to you, you should listen with what is left of your brain and see if there's some sense and reason being expressed. Perhaps they are all saying the same thing to you bc that's the truth.
I have engaged in self reflection; I currently engage in self reflection. In the past, I put a lot of time, effort, and passion into researching veganism and living as a vegan. Currently, I feel confident in my research and satisfied with my choice to leave veganism behind, bc, through self reflection, collective engagement, and academic devotion, I have realised that it is neither morally superior nor environmentally helpful nor physically healthy to be vegan rather than to just be a sustainable omnivore.
I would never advise any human to be a carnivore, and I doubt you know that many who are.
I don't eat at McDonalds, bc, as I said, I'm an anti-capitalist and therefore I make it a point to stay away from chain restaurants. I also do my best to never eat fast food, as it's bad for me and for the environment.
As I have implied, I enjoy cooking and am very confident in the kitchen.
