Shoutout to Conner Bailey. He learned he was part fairy and said “hard pass” on magic lessons. He slacked off in class because he was too busy thinking about jokes and short story ideas. He’s a terrible liar. He has two lucky rocks. He doesn’t have a phone nor does he trust Google. He kidnapped an old German lady so he’d have adult supervision in France. He wrote an insert of the weird badass adopted grandma figure in his life into one of his original stories. Decades down the line a kid asks him about his missing sister at a book signing and he plays along until he can’t remember the answers. He’s even got ADHD. No one is doing it like him.

She is a tortured poet, she had a massive disappointment in her partner and she acts like everything is completely fine while being at a very low point in life in “a tale of witchcraft” (“I can do it with a broken heart” is literally a song about that, there’s even a line “I'm so depressed, I act like it's my birthday every day”)

no because they are some of my favourite characters for this reason. they are so burnt out and tired after taking care of every world crisis when they were literal children, that they can’t see clearly what the real issues are when they grow up. they just don’t know what to do anymore. someone please give them a break (also i find the song The Great War by Taylor Swift very accurate for describing the feeling. “there’s no morning glory, it was war it wasn’t fair”???? i could write a thesis about this)
