planetene.
being on earth again is strange. she had been lingering, formless once more in the dark abyss of space, and now she was back, and it was an odd feeling. she had spent all those months alone with a single thought in her mind. she longed to see the only constellation that held any significance to her. even though space was her place of origin, she had soon come to realize that it was no longer home. home had a name, a heart beat, and a set of eyes that stared into her soul. she hadnt been there for long before she sees him. its almost like no time has passed. he looks the same, at least—– he feels the same to the winged messenger. she doesnt say a thing, only lifts her hand to cup his oh so soft cheek. theyre more than just two people connected by this concept of love. its obvious that there is something more to them because she doesnt even have to say a word. he already spoke them for her. “ me too, capella. ”
capella’s skin prickles with goose bumps when she says his name, and though he doesn’t know why, it feels right. it feels like a suitable reaction to someone so otherworldly even so much as acknowledging his existence, let alone placing her hand on his skin. eyes to eyes, mouth to mouth, heartbeat to heartbeat ; he feels like enough is impossible, and his breath catches, letting out forcibly slow as he tries to center himself. he’s got to catch his balance within her gravity, after all. it’s been a long time. he isn’t used to it anymore, but he will be again. his fingertips are trailing against her cheek now as he steps closer to her, close enough to be able to bend down and brush his nose against the crown of her head. “ welcome home. ”
