SSA Mapping — “Padrões indígenas ” // Eletroiman + INZIST (Tklab)
The Mapping carried out for the Open Exhibit SSA Mapping has as aesthetic reference the Brazilian indigenous designs and standards. The graphic content was developed from this symbolic universe, where forms and repetitions create ideas and concepts.
The drawings reveal the way indigenous people tell their origin and shows how their thinking works. Body painting has many functions and is used in parties, combats and guarantee good luck in hunting, war, fishing and travel. Each tribe and each family develop their own patterns of painting.
Another important element in the narrative is the use of black and white to contrast and emphasize the structures of the Rio Branco Palace, transforming its forms into a symbolic narrative that values the elements of Brazilian culture.
The project was realized by the artists VJ Eletroiman and INZIST of the collective TKLab. TKlab is a research group oriented by the Telenoika Association, located in Barcelona, Spain.
O Mapping realizado para a Mostra Aberta SSA Mapping tem como referência estética os desenhos e padrões indígenas brasileiros. O conteúdo gráfico foi desenvolvido a partir deste universo simbólico, onde as formas e repetições criam idéias e conceitos.
Os desenhos revelam o jeito do povo indígena de contar a sua origem e mostra como funciona o seu pensamento. A pintura corporal tem diversas funções e são utilizadas em festas, combates e garantem boa sorte na caça, na guerra, na pesca e na viagem. Cada tribo e cada família desenvolvem seus próprios padrões de pintura.
Outro elemento importante na narrativa é a utilização do preto e branco para contrastar e ressaltar as estruturas do Palácio Rio Branco, transformando suas formas em uma narrativa simbólica que valoriza os elementos da cultura brasileira.
O Projeto foi realizado pelos artistas VJ Eletroiman y INZIST do coletivo TKLab. O TKlab é um grupo de pesquisa orientado pela Associação Telenoika, localizado em Barcelona, Espanha.
