So I decided it’d be fun to be a copycat and plonk some OCs into this chart thingy that’s been going around

Except when I was thinking of which OCs I would put in the ‘disaster’ boxes, all of the candidates got offended/upset. Which simultaneously made me feel guilty and amused the crap out of me.

‘Slightly Less Painful’ AU. After having met each other again for the first time in many years, Bernard and Dustin catch up over milkshakes. :D

I was stuck in a doctor’s waiting room the whole morning today, so I took the opportunity to do a little bit of drawing! Here we have some ‘Slightly Less Painful’ AU edition Bernard and Dustin.

I’m being super, super slow at anything resembling a ‘proper’ drawing recently, so to ease my frustration I did some quick doodles for my ‘Slightly Less Painful’ Lisa AU!

I initially created this AU because I wanted some brother-sister sweetness featuring Dustin and Buddy, although as the title I later gave it suggests, it did not quite work out that way. The story begins in a non-apocalyptic Olathe with Dustin taking in Buddy after their adoptive father, Brad, dies of an overdose. Buddy is angry and hurt over the neglect and mistreatment she received from Brad and is prone to acting out aggressively - a tendency that is only worsened by her own drug use. Dustin wants to do whatever he can to make things better for her - but how successful will he be?

Not so long after Dustin takes in Buddy, he happens across Bernard one day, whom he hasn’t seen in years. It turns out that Bernard too struggled with drug addiction and trauma for a long time, but in recent years he has managed to kick the habit and is even getting some much-needed therapy, so things are looking up for him. He also apologises to Dustin for how he acted following Lisa’s suicide - although Dustin never held a grudge against him for it anyway (it’s not like it was anywhere near as serious as what happened in canon). The friendship (and maybe more?) that results from this meeting ends up being a valuable beacon of light amidst a sea of difficulties...

This blog is called Ionian Scribbles, so here’s a scribbly WIP! which I might never finish because drawing is hard and I’m impatient LOL

Anyway. I got into the Lisa series recently and made a ‘Slightly Less Painful’ AU, where the White Flash never happened, Dustin ends up being Buddy’s guardian, and Bernard never became you-know-who (meaning that Dustin never had THAT happen) because he couldn’t bring himself to do what Lisa asked that one time.

But this AU is only Slightly Less Painful, so Bernard is still haunted by Lisa’s memory, and the guilt over what happened. He tried to drown out said memory with drugs for the longest time, but that did not work, so he worked hard to get clean, and got therapy and everything...

But even so, she’s still there in his dreams. Maybe she always will be :)

(’Him’ here refers to Dustin, who Bernard made up with and later fell in love with OH after happening to meet with him again after many years.)

JJBA Rarepair Week Day 7 23/7 Wedding/Goodbye/Free Space

If Kakyoin and Rohan choose to keep seeing each other after all the events in Morioh, they end up in a long-distance relationship. At first this seems like a perfectly fine arrangement. They’re both introverts and pretty independent people - it’s not like they need to be around each other all the time, right?

... Except after some time of only physically seeing each other every so often, it becomes apparent that no, it’s not fine, actually.

So during this past month of drawing pics for the Rarepair Week and experimenting lots in the process, I have discovered the Great Power of the watercolour brushes in Clip Studio Paint Pro. Although I still very much know nothing about how shading and whatnot works (when colouring I just kind of go AAAAAA and hope for the best) I now feel compelled to colour all my scribbles... just cause it’s fun! 

And so here is a resulting coloured Kakhan hug scribble. (No, I don’t know what’s going on with the background either. Swoosh...!?)

JJBA Rarepair Week Day 6 22/7 Nsfw/Hotel/Cuddles

I like to imagine that Rohan and Kakyoin enjoy travelling together. And so, having myself stayed at an onsen hotel for the first time earlier this year, I decided to send them along to one too! The two enjoy a buffet dinner while wearing yukata.
