ok can we stop fuckin pushing the whole “santeria/voodoo” or anything that originates from the islands and africa in terms of spirtuality is inherently demonic or evil as if thats not something white imperialists ingrained in everyones head
anyone can rb this im just sick and tired of hearing people say “hell no i dont mess with demon shit” when they see someone practicing any form of these religions/beliefs
thank you!!!!!
*thinks back to 5 years ago to a random conversation* i was right
“Flickers of forget-me-nots fell past the window, like a rain of blue flames. Those purples and blues softened and brightened. Light from inside caught in their curves. In one minute they looked soft as new snow. The next, hard as slices of a frozen river.”

Because she has only one pointe shoe on. Because her figure is of legend. Because they call her Naomi. Because she does not allow the fashion industry to disregard black beauty. Because her voice often get mistaken for anger. Because she can easily be dismissed as just a model. Because she is not liked by everyone. Because she has been an inspiration for many girls, brown and white.

Black people are literally the only ones who can call out other Black people because none of you nonblacks are capable of doing so without exposing your own antiblackness, DOUBLY so when the person in the wrong is a Black woman. y’all sit and wait for a BW to make a mistake so you can expose your own misogynoir under the guise of “calling her out.” if y’all cannot criticize a Black person without being antiblack, leave the situation alone.
nonblack people can interact, but keep your commentary off this post.
all you dumbasses are severely missing the point of the post. yeah, Black people can be racist and discriminatory and insensitive towards other people of color the same as y’all are like this to us (but which one of us benefits from worldwide systematic antiblackness? lmfao), that’s not the fucking point.
the point is that whenever a Black person, particularly a Black woman, is in the wrong, be it they say something racist or otherwise discriminatory, you nonblacks use this fault as an opportunity NOT to call out the person, but to “call them out” in conjunction with their Blackness, which most often ends up being a crude, unnecessary comment about Black people as a WHOLE. you use this person or these people to say shit like “y’all always do this” or the more explicit “Black people are always complaining and then do the same thing!” as though generalizing an entire race of people has not historically had devastating impacts.
none of you are capable of critiquing a Black person without bringing their Blackness into the equation in an insensitive and irrelevant way. you know what you’re doing. knock it the fuck off.
again, since literacy apparently stopped being taught in school, if you are nonblack, your commentary is not wanted, needed, or appreciated on this post. not even in the replies. not even in the tags.
