barry really went into that black hole to get chester’s consciousness or whatever and managed to get the jacket back for iris AND find a new suit with a chin strap I -

who do you think was right? barry or iris?

iris. 

now barry has this character flaw in that he always feels most betrayed by those he’s closest too, which is why I think he’s so quick to forgive random villain of the week, but gets so emotionally charged up when it comes to Iris or Joe or, in this case, Nora. So this is totally in line with his character. 

BUT!

How many times is he going to take Iris’ decisions away from her?? I mean for reals. He lied to her about being The Flash. Then he just yeeted back in time and created Flashpoint. Then he proposed to her cause he thought it would save her life, and then broke up with her?? Then he entered the Speed Force without consulting her. And now this.

Barry runs. That’s what he does. But he does not look back to see her standing behind him. He just makes the choice for her. And I’m glad they addressed it. 

Now if only they’d actually let them continue to address it, rather than just wrap everything up in 30 seconds…
