Sunset at Death Valley National Park in California is a magical time. The retreating sun mutes the shadowed ripples and graceful curves of the sand dunes while the day’s last light focuses on the mountaintops. Here, a rogue white cloud wanders in to enjoy the view. Photo courtesy of Sandra Slead.
Wow! What an amazing sunset over Death Valley National Park in California. The shadowed ripples and stark, graceful curves of Mesquite Flat Dunes cover a vast area bordered by mountains and salt flats in this extraordinary park. Photo by Usha Peddamatham (www.sharetheexperience.org).
As the snow melts on the rugged peaks of Kit Carson Mountain, water flows into seasonal creeks, weaving through valleys and around the massive Star Dune at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in Colorado. The water, sand and stone catch the light and show unique textures that make photos of the park often look like oil paintings. Taking pictures, making memories and learning the stories are great ways to experience this unique park. Photo by Patrick Myers, National Park Service.
Little Sahara Recreation Area in Utah includes a vast area of open sand dunes located less than two hours from Salt Lake City. Small rolling dunes offer fun for the family, while climbing the 700-foot tall Sand Mountain is not for the faint of heart. Nearby is perfect of fat-tire biking on the dunes, sandboarding or skiing down Sand Mountain, and viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. The area is most popular during the spring and fall, but if you go in the summer, be sure to bring plenty of water! Photo by Bob Wick, Bureau of Land Management, @mypubliclands
This is going to take forever to get off. Done with sharpie, ballpoint pen, and a white gel pen.
I wonder how much it would cost to get this done as a tattoo. Like all the way up to the shoulder. Thats probably the only tattoo I would absolutely 100% get if I had the money.

Oh nuts I didn’t realise I’d failed to post the earlier progress for this here! I’ve been on Instagram. I’m making articulated bat wings! It was going to be for a LARP but now it’s just for me to transcend from disappointing humanity 👌
This is an earlier prototype made with 3D printed finger plates and knuckles, with straws for finger bones and elastic for tendons.
The final is going to be shaped over the top of the armature for more organic bones/knuckles and webbed over with fabric down to about the knee!
““One of the holy grails of biomaterials research has been working out a way to get skin to grow onto and attach to metals and plastics without the risk of infection. It looks like this design and technique may have solved the problem,” says Dr Stynes, who is researching his PhD at the University of Melbourne. “It could pave the way for fully implantable robotics, prosthetics, catheters, intravenous lines, and the reconstruction of surgical defects with artificial materials.” Professor Richard Page, Director of Orthopaedics and the Centre of Orthopaedic Research and Education at Barwon Health and Deakin University, said the ability of the scaffold to make the skin think it was growing on other skin is potentially a major finding.”

Just a robot jogging and jumping. Nothing major.

Huh, didn’t one of the Buzzfeed people do this a while ago? Though that was in the US, I think, so it’s probably it’s a different thing.
My dragon puppet is all done pretty much! Not sure how I feel about him but here he is :)
