HOT TAKE
Imagine having your origin setup perfectly to become a villain and then flipping the script to be the hero instead. That takes the biggest heart.
And let's be honest, if Tony were to actually become a villain he would be unstoppable.
Do you think FRIDAY was the one who had to tell the bots that their dad was never coming home again? Imagine they don't believe it for awhile because daddy does this sometimes, but he always comes back eventually.
I can't imagine the kind of pain Rhodey, Pepper, and Bucky are in in just this photo alone.
Bucky and Tony never got to apologize to each other and it's obvious it deeply pains him and now he'll have to live with that guilt and the what ifs for the rest of his life.
Pepper lost the love of her life and the father of their child. The man she loved so much she just couldn't seem to leave as a friend or an ex; who changed her life, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst. She'll be constantly reminded no matter where she turns and she'll have to explain to her baby that dad isn't coming back and then raise her, little Morgan, who looks like her papa.
But Rhodey.. I think Rhodey might have it the worst. He watched his longest friend, his brother in all but blood and name die right in front of him. This man who loved Tony so much and had so much faith in him that he spent three months looking for him when everyone thought it was useless. Who held his hand on the way back and supported him through his journey while also calling him out on bs. They've seen each other at their lowest. Tony who gave Rhodey his legs back, who has defied death time and time again, who was so full of life is now still and silent forever. And Rhodey, he just can't bare to look.
tony stark wielded the infinity gauntlet and didn’t even flinch from the pain. both hulk and thanos screamed like lil bitches when they put the glove on. but not my mans tony. nah bitch. he owned those stones. tony stark has the biggest dick energy in the entire mcu. iron man got an iron dick.
y’all in the replies like “yeah but he died using them :/“ are missing the point. the point is that tony stark, human with zero superpowers, stole the stones right from thanos’ grasp and didn’t even scream in pain as the power surged through him before he even snapped his fingers.
hulk banner, a being on a similar power level as thanos, could hardly contain their power when he first slipped on the stark gauntlet and then passed out after snapping. even thanos himself yelled out in pain; 1. every time he added a stone to his gauntlet during infinity war 2. when he acquired the mind stone, completing the whole set at the end of infinity war and 3. when he stole the stark gauntlet from the heroes and put it on in endgame. and then there’s tony stark, human mortal in his early 50s, who put all six stones on at once and barely flinched at the pain.
the point isn’t “tony stark still died after using the stones”
it’s “tony stark’s iron will was so strong not even the raw power of six infinity stones surging through his mortal body could stop him from snapping”
You kind of have to take into account that Tony Stark’s pain tolerance is a LOT different to Thanos and the Hulk.
Both Thanos and the Hulk are physically tough, they don’t feel pain often. So when the stones hurt them they didn’t know how to handle it hence the screaming. They never learned how to take pain.
But Tony has been in extreme pain since 2008. The stones were just another source of suffering and something he could handle. He may not be as strong as them but pain was an old friend to him.
It’s a play on strength and endurance. Thanos and the Hulk are strong, but Tony had the endurance.
This makes me think about the whole “Stark men are made of iron” thing Howard’s always taught Tony. They shouldn’t flinch, they shouldn’t falter. And Tony didn’t. Up until the end, he was determined to do one last attempt at saving the ones he loved, even at the cost of his own life. And Tony didn’t falter at all even at the end. He didn’t flinch.
And I think that’s why his line “I am Iron Man” at the end holds even more weight. He looked Thanos straight in the eye and he handled it better than Thanos did.
Always asking who the strongest avenger is when the answer has been right in front of you for 11 years
My favourite part of the MCU is Tony accidentally connecting with 'strays' (children) in need that he meets.
Some encouragement, a "You did good kid" here and there; an upgraded garage and potato gun; new suits for protection, teaching a neglected and abused woman how to play a game while cheering her on; coaxing a smile out of her once she wins.
And even though it's not much to him, it's obvious how much it means to the others.
Genuine Inquiry for Tony Antis
1. Did Tony’s actions in Siberia add fuel to the hate?
2. Thoughts on T’Challa going after Bucky for his father’s death.
3. Is one more justified than the other?/Do you really care?
If people portrayed Bucky's height they way they do Tony's
I know that the only indication that Tony even interacted with Jarvis are in the comic following the mcu and in endgame where we see that he and Howard are still working together. Still though, imagine the love he could have received from these two - they're such a good representation of true, pure love.

Tony stark is a genuinely bad person who did horrible things and never apologised for any of it, smuggled minors, made ultron, killed hundreds, if not thousands of innocent people (killing over 100 people is considered genocide so,) tried to kill both sam wilson and Bucky Barnes for something out of their control, among other things. So that quote by Britney Spears is Tony Stark in a nutshell
So we're ignoring that Tony and Pepper have a whole ass organization dedicated to relief efforts for areas affected by avengers battles. And we're forgetting that Bruce helped Tony create Ultron; an idea which only really came to him after Wanda showed him his greatest nightmare. She and Pietro also teamed up with Ultron up until they figured out that their lives were on the line too. Let's not overlook the amount of damage Steve and his team up along with Bucky caused in Bucharest and DC. Obviously bringing Peter into the fight was a horrible idea, no excuse for that. It also wasn't right for him to attack Sam and Bucky, but to be fair, he almost lost his oldest friend, watched his parents being murdered right in front of him after believing for years that it was an accident, and found out that Steve had been keeping important secrets.

Please tell me this hasn't been done yet
Y'all remember when Nat, Steve, and Scott showed up to Tony's house unannounced to try and convince him to go along with their half-baked plan - that wouldn't have worked - and got mad at him when he turned it down? But Tony still invited these people who basically betrayed him to have lunch with his family bc he was happy to just see them? And his "I wish you had come here for any other reason".

I'm big disappointed
Not gonna lie, I'm kinda annoyed that Tony doesn't have scars from the arc reactor especially seeing how the surgery to implant it was less than clean
I saw a post like this on ig for Loki and you BET I had to do the same for my King
