Received a beautiful message last week, from Isabelle. She told us about this exquisite work of art. It is a collaboration of 44 textile artists from all over the world. Among the many embroidered names one reads 'Ayşegül', yes Isabelle and Marisol decided to include my name in this impressive piece, I am honored and truly grateful for their kindness. When I was a child, I had this repeated dream I still remember. In my dream, I open the window of my room after I woke up and I see my name written with flowers in a big, beautiful garden. When I saw these photos, this was the first thing that came to my mind. In a way, Isabelle and Marisol made my dream a reality. I would like to congratulate the curator Daphné Lisse, Marisol, Isabelle and all the artists for this amazing work, and wish them all the success for their opening tomorrow. This was a good reminder that we are all connected despite the differences, distances, and all the different languages. We are connected with colors and fibers and works of our hands.
