In the games as they got closer, Sang-woo tells Ali to call him 형/Hyung, which has the standard definition of 'older brother'.

In greek there's a word which explain perfectly what I mean... in my opinions, my favourite emo kid and this pretty little sunshine are Parabatai δε

A parabatai is a pair of warriors who fight together as lifelong partners, bound together by oath, regardless of their gender. Their bond is reflected in their closeness and willingness to lay down their lives for one another. It's an ideal of warrior comradeship that goes back a long time.
