there was no way that james was giving up, he would rather die than give up right now. there had been enough faltering in the previous fight with the hydra doppelganger that opposed, a man that held the features of someone he despised, someone that truthfully? he wanted to kill, and now was the perfect moment to bring that into full effect. any attempt of shoving the captain away from opposing physique was null and void, he would take every hit, every ounce of violence that came from the touch that opposed if it meant bringing tony down, metallic digits securing themselves tightly around opposing reactor before yanking it clean from the other man’s chest. it was a metal heart beating within metal touch, something that if james thought hard enough about it, was horrendously bea- utiful, but he couldn’t, not when he now held urges to crush it within his brutal contact. either way, stark was dead, least that was his mindset right now.

as soon as the reactor was brutally ripped from his chest, tony suddenly felt a tightness that caused his breathing to become jagged and roughened, terrified that this would be the end since bucky now held the reactor, the thing that helped keep him alive -- the second it was pulled out, tony would slip further and further into death and there was no coming back from it un- less it was placed back within his chest. no words became audible, his features now turning a ghostly white that made him look sickly and unwell, his body unable to move as he merely just stared towards the opposing male. no words could even become audible, he was rendered speechless and he knew at the back of his mind that this was it - his time was over.

tony done everything in his power to try and stop bucky from taking the arc reactor since he knew that as soon as it was gone? he'd start to falter slowly into death, the shrapnel within his body would reach his heart and he would be killed as soon as that happened -- he couldn't let that be- come a reality, he needed to continue punching his way out of it and he needed to get bucky off him.

as skull connected with his own, there was no denying james being caught off guard, a sudden grunt falling from his twin-flesh, metallic digits faltering from the robotic heart in order to maintain his place- meant upon the ground. the last thing he wanted was to fall on his back and allow tony to garner any advantage, he needed to put the hydra monster away - whether through the means of being bound in shield’s captivity or via death, it didn’t matter which anymore. as oceanic hues flickered towards his target, motions were instant as metal fingers curled into a strong fist, driving contact home on the arc reactor with every intention of breaking it. he could see the slight crack of glass, the sound of something gone awry but if it was good enough? bucky didn’t know, a strong cry of fight then departing into the atmosphere before he punched again….and again, determined not to cease until stark was dead.

the punches upon the arc reactor had startled tony, caused a strange shock to surge throughout his system as did the punches that followed afterwards, but he couldn't let bucky win -- he couldn't let bucky kill him, not when he knew he was much stronger than he was. both hands reached out to grab onto opposing shoulders, using every bit of strength he had to latch onto him and drive his forehead into opposing one yet again, doing it a few times until it almost made him dizzy and he was forced to stop himself, falling away from the opposing male to try and recollect himself. he couldn't falter, he couldn't let himself go down like this -- he refused to be beaten.

how could he honestly believe that the love of his life was dead? this had to be a mistake, surely? the man that he was destined to marry was right here in front of him! except…he wasn’t, the kiss had proved that as a sickening feeling developed over the tingling upon twin-flesh, not a sensation that was welcomed like he was used to. so who was the unknown? some sort of hydra clone? someone made to look like tony in order to take him out? moisture continued to seep down profile that couldn’t stop whimpering, dimitri then allowing a pained cry to fall into the atmosphere as he turned upon his heel and sprinted away, bare foot almost slipping upon the wooden flooring in the desperate need to call shield. he couldn’t even think about where tony was right now ( if he was even alive, the russian unable to think that he was anything less than that ), he needed to be saved and whoever was in his home? was an intruder and needed to be dealt with before anybody became hurt.

tony wasn't sure what was going on with the opposing male, he didn't know whether to run after him or let him run off to grieve over his now dead fiancee, but he was never one to give others what they wanted, only giving them what they deserved. suddenly remembering that dimitri had mentioned shield, tony allowed a growl to become audible before sprinting after him, he couldn't let him get to shield to tell them about what had happened, it wasn't that he was afraid of shield because he knew he could take them out without even trying -- but if there was the chance of avoiding the russian even going to them? then he would. attempting to catch up wasn't too difficult, sickening smirk now upon his profile as he was right behind him.

despite genetically-modified frame and serum-induced veins, there was no denying the credit the hydra spawn could have received as punches lashed at every inch of james’ physique, the most notable wound coming from a sudden busted nose ( a weak spot, so he couldn’t exactly be too angered to falter like that ), crimson now dripping against snarling twin-flesh and rounded chin. that didn’t mean he was suddenly going to roll over and let tony become victorious, hell no, metallic digits instantly grasping upon the arc reactor bound within opposing chest in preparation to rip it clean away from strong being, human fist continuing to punch as furiously as he could against the other man’s features upon doing so.

as soon as he noticed bucky's hand reaching out to latch onto the arc reactor, tony had to stop him from taking it away -- he couldn't let him win so easily, putting up a fight and winning said fight was the only way he worked when it came to things like this. reaching down, he used every single bit of strength within his being as both hands latched onto opposing one in an attempt to pry bucky's touch away from the arc reactor. he knew he would have to find a way of trying to weaken him to let his grip loose, head then moving forward at a rapid speed to headbutt barnes in a harsh manner, something that slightly pained his own self, but he had to try everything right now.

despite the raging hurt that was coursing throughout veins like wild-fire, dimitri allowed his frame to bridge the gap between himself and tony in order to press an impromptu kiss against opposing twin-flesh, some- thing that he could only pray would pull his fiancee out from whatever brainwashed aura he had been thrown into right now. and selfishly, he needed the affection for his own damn sanity right now. yet, soon as his lips pushed upon tony’s own, they felt…cold, calloused which was nothing the russian had ever experienced before, it was different, the hand that was palmed against the side of opposing profile now able to feel stubble that felt sharp and rough like sandpaper, not in any way soft and warming like a god damn teddy bear that he had become accustomed too. this wasn’t tony. this wasn’t tony in the slightest, fear developing within dimitri instantly as he pushed him- self off almost as quickly as the kiss had been initiated, moisture now trailing down features that were confused to the nines, unable to understand what was even happening.

the kiss hadn't been expected, been tony didn't push dimitri away either, he merely stayed put and tried to refrain from laughing -- finding it amusing that the russian was still going to such lengths to try and prove whether or not he was the tony he had fallen in love with. not even the mention of shield made him flinch since he knew he could take them out without even having to think about it -- he was merely just enjoying watching the other squirm in wondering what the hell was even going on. sickening smirk stretched upon his lips as dimitri pushed himself away, the words that were spoke in his direction making him feel strangely smug in the know- ledge that the other had finally realized he wasn't who he said he was.

reaction was instant as clenched metallic fist landed harshly against the profile that opposed, james not even caring anymore. he needed to keep his violence and angered tendencies in check, things that made him the monster that hydra had created, a suppression that was needed for stevie’s sake; but he couldn’t help it, and damn, it felt god damn good under the circumstance.

with an audible growl, tony then wasted no time in lunging himself forward towards the opposing male, cheek only stinging barely from the punch but pain was nothing to him, he could handle that and tons more if bucky had it in him. now his own fists were flying, colliding with every possible inch of bucky's frame as he could, refusing to be taken down by someone who was corrupted by the enemy and betrayed hydra.
