Isabela from Dragon Age 2
Fenris | Isabela | Arishok : Run
Fenris could feel his heart pound in his throat as he followed the group Qunari down to the wine cellar. There was no way the Arishok would let go of Isabela when he found her. And he would find her… There was no question. Fenris’s thoughts worked at high speed. Possibly there was a way to let Isabela know that she had to flee. That she had to get out of his mansion as quick as possible. If they were lucky he could keep the Qunari occupied long enough so she could escape. His heart ached at the thought that if his risky plan worked he would probably never see her again. With every step downwards it became more and more clear to him that whatever the outcome, he would lose Isabela, either to the Arishok, or to the seas of Thedas.
When the Qunari and a second later he reached the wine cellar he swiftly looked around to see if he could spot the Rivaini anywhere. He knew that head movements would only make him more suspicious with the Qunari, so he tried to move as little as possible and walked around the wine cellar, trying to make it look like he was merely irritated by the Qunari’s arrival and couldn’t wait until they would leave his precious wine alone again.
The Arishok took notice of Fenris when he was in the cellar. He did not go to the secret room, he did not try to sneak a peek before his men “What is the matter elf? Aren’t you surprised that your secret room is opened?” He asked him now truly knowing that he was right. She was there.
As the Sten opened the room and looked though it he was surprised, it was empty. “Arishok, maraas.” Even though, the Sten said that he could not believe it, and he gave the room another check.
The eyes of the Arishok looked through the room. “The room is empty, but the thief is here. Is that not right, elf?” Angry he went closer to Fenris, he had enough of lies and deception. “I will not be made a fool of!” With this he swung his axe and hit a wine rack. With a hard crash it hit the floor, shattering a few wine bottles. The extra sound alerted the Qunari and make them ready for a possible battle.
Isabela had been expecting an outburst from the Arishok, but the reverberations of his axe hitting the wall sent her teeth chattering. She turned her head and realized that she now had a view of him, which was comforting. She hated not knowing where her enemy was.
Even better- the Arishok was angry. Angry people are stupid. They're rash. They make mistakes. Isabela had an advantage. It was slight, but it was an advantage, and it might be the only one she'd get.
Quietly, Isabela got to her knees and drew her daggers. The Arishok was still facing away from her, which was another small miracle.
"Now or never," she thought.
She took a deep breath and jumped down, landing behind the Qunari, driving one of her daggers deep into his shoulder as she landed.
ooc; eh heh heh heh.
Our evil plan is working!
ooc; Ah, I've been terrible lately, sorry. Traveling like mad for work, but I'd like to start RPing again. Anyone up for it? Message me. x
// Am I the only one who ships Fenris with Merrill?
I KNOW IT LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. BUT. IT’S. JUST. SO. CUTE. T^T
They are such a dangerous couple! I’m so afraid that they will always end in crashing Kirkwall or at least each other -_________-
OOC; Don't do it, broody. It's a trap. x
Fenris | Isabela | Arishok : Run
“I have hidden no one, Arishok,” Fenris replied, trying to sound as genuine but warning none the less. “You can look for that someone as long as you want, but you will not find her, for she is not here.” He looked the Arishok straight in the eye, despite how much effort that took. The Arishok’s eyes were cold and dead. They were always like that, but right now they looked exceptionally enraged. Fenris’s eyes switched from the Arishok to the other Qunari now standing behind him. Why did he take so many with him? There was no way that he could take on all of them. With or without Isabela’s help. Isabela… He hoped with his whole heart that she had found the secret room in the wine cellar. She was a rogue after all. She of all people should be able to find hidden secrets. Right? Right…?
“Very well Elf we will look” He really had enough of this and instead of sending his men to the cellar the Arishok pushed Fenris aside and went into the cellar followed by his men.
This should end soon or i might not care if the thief is alive anymore, the Arishok thought. Going down the stairs he wondered why one would voluntarily live here, seeing the filth, could he be part of the problem of this town? It was truly a shame to him.
“Look around here! I want that thief… Found” He yelled as he looked though the cellar, but he paused when he saw the secret room. It was open. “Sten look in that room!” Even though he had a feeling he decided to make sure, he had no choice with this thief. A Sten slowly went to the room, he expected a trap.
Isabela could hear the ominous padding of feet as what sounded like every Qunari in Kirkwall made their way into the cellar. As the Arishok directed his men, she found herself thankful that she'd not chosen to hide in the room for multiple reasons.
The first being that it was easier to surprise someone from above than it was to jump out from their level. The Qunari were larger than her, and to get an advantage over any of them- especially the Arishok- from ground level was going to be nearly impossible. From perched above them, however, she might have given herself a slight advantage. She steadied her breathing and focused on doing anything but moving.
She could feel the steady footsteps of the Arishok's men as they searched the cellar. She clutched her daggers to her chest and closed her eyes, attempting to recall the layout of the room. Free-standing wine racks in the room could be used for recovery when necessary, or to give a height advantage. The table at the front of the cellar could do the same.
If she was going to have any sort of advantage over the Arishok, she would need to make it for herself. If it came down to a fight, the Arishok certainly wouldn't be an easy opponent, but Isabela might have a chance if she engaged him directly, one on one.
Until then, all she could do was hope that he and his men were idiots.

“It’s been awhile.” He said, smirking. “What brings you here?”
"That depends entirely on where 'here' is," Isabela responded with a grin. "Generally speaking the answer is alcohol and debauchery. What's your excuse?"
Okay, normally I don’t really ship them together but DAMN. This is kind of hot.
This is the day when all my fantasies come true.
Merrill || Isabela
As the final shades disappeared, screaming, into the earth, Isabela turned to check on Merrill. There had been more shades than expected, and though she’d tried to keep as many of them away from her companion as possible, she could see that Merrill had not been completely ignored by the attacks. She walked over to Merrill and handed her a poultice.
“See,” she said with a weak smile, “aren’t you glad you didn’t miss this?” She looked around the now quiet cave, making sure nothing was biding its time in the shadows.
Merrill wiped the sweat off her brow, unknowingly leaving a streak of blood across her forehead. “Oh, ma serannas, Isabela,” she said, taking the poultice and attending to the gash on the inside of her elbow. “I have missed having adventures with you. I know that everything will be okay when we’re fighting together.”
After wrapping her arm, Merrill squatted in front of the chests and continued to examine their contents, doling out which pieces could be sold and which she wanted to keep as artifacts. “What have you been doing lately?” she wondered, focused on her task.
Isabela pulled her bandanna out of her hair as she walked over to Merrill. "I've been keeping busy," she said, not wanting to go into too many details. She used her bandanna to wipe a smear of blood off of her companion's forehead, then tucked the soiled linen into her boot.
"What do you know about separating a spirit from its host?"
For the past weeks, Isabela had been researching ways that Anders could separate himself from Justice. She'd been spending more time than she'd like to admit in the Chantry, going through their old texts. After days of uncomfortable glances from sisters in the Chantry, Isabela had managed to find minimal documentation on the old Tevinter Magisters, but she couldn't tell how much of the information was true and how much was speculation or simply hysteria.
She'd even gone so far as to speak with a Templar historian, hoping they might be able to provide some direction. The man was no help at all, and kept muttering something about "taking the mage into the fade and killing it," which was very clearly not the solution that Isabela was looking for. What she needed was firsthand documentation of a situation where a mage was successfully (even unsuccessfully) separated from a spirit, but there seemed to be none whatsoever. Maybe it couldn't be done, or maybe Merrill would know something that Isabela didn't.
story of Hawke’s life
It’s his own damn fault.
For my special ladeh.
She taught him how to read maps with his fingertips, not that he needed to know, but she weaved it thick with intimacy, leaning over his chair, her breasts pressed against his back as she guided his hand slowly over the curves and contours of the sea.
Isabela was the sea—changeable and unconcerned with borderlines. When she wanted something, she swelled up and took it, like a tidal wave raking shells off the shore, gathering them into itself without giving them a choice. With him she was more subtle, but when they ended up together, half-drunk and captivated, he felt as though it was as unavoidable as the tides.
There is a distinction between “captive” and “captivated,” and it is an important one for Fenris. The former is loathsome while the latter, while somewhat unfamiliar, is undeniably welcome.
He taught her to read the boundaries of his body, showing her the roadmap of his scars and letting her find out where they lead. There were rules; she was not to touch the one on his shoulder blade—the one that looked, for all the world, like a brand—but the rest were fair game.
That wasn’t to say that Isabela ever played fair—he intended for her to use her fingertips, as he had, but it was her tongue instead that she used to traverse the lyrium pathways on his neck, on his collarbone, and down his arms until she sucked lightly on the tip of each finger, waiting to see what she could find in those pretty eyes when she did so.
Most of all, he wanted to touch her neck, a request that puzzled her, especially when he refused to explain himself. He thought it was clear—for as lovely as she was, for as much of her succulent skin that he’d seen, and touched, that gold collar was always in the way. It was the tantalizing unknown, a precious prize covered by worthless metal.
She bared her neck for him, and he brought his lips to it, amorous and reverent, just gently mouthing her skin at first, until his tongue flicked out to feel her pulse pounding against it. He held it there, sucking blood to the surface of her skin, marking her in a place that only he would see, and that intimacy was both precious and maddening.
“Always on top,” were her words, and he was more than willing to respect that, as she was more than willing to respect his desire to not be held down. They could work together; she could kneel above him as he held the weight of her breasts in his hands, his tongue feather-light and quick as it circled her nipples. He could unlace his trousers to be ready when he felt her open for him, warm and wet like Seheron summers, but more worthy of desire than they had ever been. She could move slowly, not lowering herself entirely at first, just holding his cock and brushing it against her lips, while her mouth met his and they groaned into one another, his fingers in her hair and on the back of her neck.
They fit together well—at another time, one where their minds were clear and not drunk on the smell of rum and lyrium, she would make a joke about it, something like: “Elves have pretty eyes, but they also have perfect co—“ and he would cut her off with a flat glare, but the corner of his lips would curl into the slightest smirk, and she would know that she hadn’t overstepped his boundaries, that she had read him correctly.
Fenris never quite got the hang of reading maps, but he learned, with great enthusiasm, exactly how to read her, a skill that he found eminently more useful.
Sated and sweating, clutching to him while crushing her mouth to his, Isabela was inclined to agree.

Can’t see the outfits properly! >.< But from what I can see it looks pretty professional. Oh, I just noticed. You do have a necklace now?
SORT OF! Not... really? I threw one together out of buttons so I would have something but i took it off because it was a) choking me and b) rubbing off onto my skin. My neck was turning colors.
