Oh, yeah. It’s great.
I’m kind of excited about it actually
“Hi, I just came to pick up some brochures for the school.” Astrid lifted her cardboard box with the schools name displayed on it and shook the contents. “I’ve never been in here before, it’s so clean.”
“Yeah of course, take as many as you need. We have more behind the desk.” Belle looked around, “Thanks, we have a really good staff to keep it that way.”
Pretty much.
So I have that to look forward to?
“she’s only just started.”
“Six months of no sleep?”
“Its the best feeling.. Though it’s weird.”
“How long did it take for her to sleep through the night?”
“it really is.”
“Must be nice to finally sleep again.”
“Mhm. Yeah. Though she’s finally properly sleeping.”
“Oh that’s good. Must be a huge relief.”
“She’s six months.”
“Aww she’s still a little one than.”
“Yeah, she doesn’t need it but it’d be nice for her to hear it, anyway. ‘Her’, so you found out then? Don’t tell me you went on your own. If I’d have been you I’d probably have cried, it’s a big thing, finding that kind of shit out. Nah, I know what you mean, don’t want to get ahead of yourself.”
“I’ll let her know during class today. I did and I did go alone, but it was okay. It was a moment for me and my kid. Yeah, exactly. Plus it’s overwhelming.”
“Fancy title. Helena, not a professional ballerina. She’s thirteen.”
“Yeah.. I don’t like my students parents thinking their kids are learning from someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Alright.. has she danced before? Not that it matters, just so I know where to place her.”
“Hey there. My daughter’s been bugging me for weeks about enrolling her in some dance classes. You look like the lady to talk to, so, here I am.”
“I would be. Isabelle, owner and professional ballerina. HOw old is your daughter?”
“Sounds like it.”
“Yeah. How old is yours?”
“oh… well that’s good then.”
“Yeah, I got lucky.”
“what do you mean?”
“There were some complications in the beginning, but it seems to have worked itself out.”
“Well that’s great! I hope everything goes okay with you.”
“Me too. It was a definite rough start, but I think we’re reaching an understanding.”
“well thats good. How long you got left?”
“A little more than 5 months. I’m at 22 weeks now.”
