En 2017, j’avais photographié cette rose dans un jardin en friche. Ce jour-là , il faisait très froid et il pleuvait. L’été était terminé et l’automne ressemblait déjà à l’hiver. Elle était l’unique fleur de ce jardin à avoir résisté à ces mauvaises conditions atmosphériques et son obstination à exister m’avait touchée. Étrangement, ces pétales rose clair, si fragiles, si délicats, rayonnaient de lumière et de fraîcheur.
In 2017, I photographed this rose in an overgrown garden. That day, it was very cold and it was raining. Summer was over, and autumn already looked like winter. It was the only flower in that garden to have survived those harsh weather conditions, and its determination to exist touched me. Strangely, these light pink petals, so fragile and delicate, radiated light and freshness.
