Control is addictive.
Saying NO is addictive. Having your brainpower over your hunger & body desires is addictive.
Let the world spiral & unravel. But MY body stays under MY control.

it is what it is
Hardly been awake for thirty minutes and already being called out
My favorite not binging technique;
"I can have it if I still want it tomorrow", then going to bed. Most the time I don't continue wanting it, orrr I can plan it into my calories for the day 🤷♀️
I wanna look in the mirror and be proud of myself. Not feel disgusted.
I wanna wake up and go to sleep with an empty stomach knowing I made progress….Not going to sleep regretting a bad decision I made for 10 minutes of pleasure.
I wanna step in the scale and see the number go down. Not see the number stay the same.
I wanna be the person I’ve always Dreamed of being. Not the nightmare person I am right now.
no man i cant hang out tomorrow i ate in the last 24h yknow
I think a reason why binge eating is so common with those struggling with mental health and ED disorders is because of how alone we are. We don’t have the comfort and love and understanding that we need, and well, food is something that has always been there. It’s comforting, soothing, perhaps just numbing.
In the long term it provides the opposite.. but I think it’s the instant gratification that is the big craving, perhaps because we’ve been devoid of it for so long so it feels like it needs to be instantaneous.
I think, at least for me, maybe even after a bit the pain and the ritual becomes the comfort in a way because it’s constant and somewhat in control because I know what’s going to happen in the end.
So I made a list of comforting things that instantly comfort, soothe, or numb me so that maybe I can change that
1. Childhood tv shows
2. Buying flowers
3. Walking
4. Hugs( I don’t really hug people so perhaps I can get a small stuffed animal)
5. Warm blankets
6. Ice cube on my skin, breathing techniques
7. Journaling
8. Ranting to myself on snap chat as if I’m FaceTiming someone.
9. Cleaning
10. Coloring
Feel free to comment any, I would love ideas!
You’ve got this, you’re worthy of comfort and love💛✨
i eat food thinking it’s going to comfort me, to warm me, to be there for me. so why do i always end up feeling so alone
I already know what it’s like in the body I’m in now, how I feel, and everything. But I wonder so badly what it’ll be like when I have my dream body, and that really gives me the motivation to not give up.
Maybe everything will be different and will be better, I just can’t imagine it yet because I don’t have the body for it yet.
Everyone seems to be happier with their dream bodies so it must be worth it. I just want one of my dreams to come true.
i hope this year changes me for the better. i don’t even want to recognize myself by the end of it
