when I think about banana fish, there's only one thing in my mind.

ash and eiji are the purest and truest definition of love.

I think it's magnificent how akimi (author of banana fish) was able to describe love in its truest form so well. two people from completely different worlds, who loved each other, who overcame all differences and fully supported each other. for me this is what banana fish symbolizes, that love, pure and true love, is capable of overcoming any kind of difficulty. despite everything ash did, eiji loved him completely. after everything ash went through, everything he suffered, he was truly loved and that comforts me so much.

for me, ash and eiji will always symbolize love, in its truest most genuine form. I love them so so so much.
