I have been obsessed lately with the idea that one of the reasons Luffy works so well as a character is that he was made for the medium of comics.

I started thinking about this because all my fanfic writing friends all agree that he is almost impossible to write well, especially as a POV character. And I think that’s, in part, because in almost 1000 chapters of manga the reader very rarely gets a chance to hear Luffy’s inner voice. In the SBS for volume 54, Oda confirms that this is intentional

Ik this may be vague. But can anyone help me find this anime where one of the characters had their own theme song for whenever he makes an entrance. Like this other guy starts rapping and playing music while the character enters.

And I think the guy was coming to fight or challenge another character.

And the rapping is funny but oddly good.
