“Look, Will, it’s not my fault you don’t like girls!”
It took all of Will's strength not to laugh because it absolutely was. He scoffed and tried to deny the tears welling in his eyes.
Mike’s eyes widened dramatically.
“You know that’s not what I meant. It’s just, I mean, me and Lucas have girlfriends, and you’ve just been really clingy-”
This time Will did laugh.
“Clingy? Clingy? Well excuse me for being “clingy”, I haven’t seen you in what, five months? Not really. Whenever we do get to hang out it’s always, ‘El said this, El thinks that!’ And yeah, I fucking get it, she’s your girlfriend. But I used to be your best friend. I just miss you, okay? Is that what you wanted to hear?”
All hope of keeping tears in was lost as they spilled over onto his cheeks. Mike just stood there looking hopeless and with tears in his own eyes.
“I miss you too, Will.” He whispered. “I just don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve been s-so fucking confused.
“Confused? What do you have to be confused about?”
“You.” Mike blurted. “Me. I don’t fucking know anymore. It’s everything really, two years ago I would have never thought-”
“Ha, no, I don’t know why I said that, like I said I-I’m confused-”
Will grabbed Mike's arm but he kept talking.
“I just don’t know what to do anymore! Everything just seems so wrong, an-and it’s nothing to do with you haha-”
“Mike. Why did you say that?”
“I already told you I didn’t mean-”
“BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU, OKAY!?”
