Thoughts on Lyria

The one resounding thing that I can’t get over in empire of storms is how Maeve manipulated Rowan into believing Lyria was his mate. I mean the fact that he spent centuries heartbroken and self-loathing just because Maeve wanted him under her control makes me want to cry just thinking about it. His guilt for his feelings for Aelin because he thought that he was betraying Lyria breaks my heart. The mating bond is supposed to be a sacred bond. Bitch-queen doesn’t do Maeve justice, she’s truly evil and corrupt to the core and does not deserve redemption. I hope all of Rowan’s cadre escapes from her clutches
