It was my last night in the London, I spent the whole of summer there disconnected from my bestfriends who happen to be members of NCT Dream. I was so excited to go back home to see them because of the time difference and their busy schedule I didn’t really get to speak to them much. I have been friends with the dreamies since pre-debut I’ve been their right from the beginning and to see how the boys have grown into men was such an experience something I’d never regret.
The day I got back to Seoul I went straight to the dorms to see the dreamies I was closest to the dreamies because I was born in 01 so I was closer to their age the other members were like older brothers to me... well they treated me like a little sister so I had no choice in the matter.
When I got to the dorm I was first greeted by Jisung who looked at me funny when he opened the door “who are you?” He says confused.
“Oh shut up Sungie you’re not funny” I say as I walk past him to put my gift bags down “where is everyone.”
“Hyuuuungggg!” Jisung calls out sounding scared “help!”
They all start running out one by one and all stop and star at me.
“What? Okay i know I look a little different you know lost a little weight here and there but come on I don’t look that different do I?” I say starting to get nervous
“You morons it’s y/n.” Haechan says walking towards me as he gives me a hug
“I knew you’d recognise me Hyuckie.” I say hugging him back
“What no way but you look... you look... sexy?” Jaemin says to me giving me weird eyes
“Did you just flirt with y/n?” Jeno giggled
“What?... N-No!” Jaemin stutters nervously
Wow I never thought I’d make the notorious flirt Jaemin nervous.
“What what is it I came as fast as I could.” Mark says huffing and puffing as he bursts open the dreamies’ door
“Did you run?” Chenle questions
“Yes you said it was urgent I was scared you guys almost set the dorms alight again!” He pants “guys what have we said about unregistered guests!” Mark says as he gets ready to what I assume is tell me I have to leave
“Mark?” I say trying to see if he’d recognise me
“No way y/n?!” He screeches
“I don’t look that different!” I huff
“Yes... yes you do!” Renjun says
Mark looks at me for what felt like hours him observing every inch of me before Haechan clears his throat “you good?”
“Umm yeah yeah good, y/n you’re back I- we really missed you.” He said as he went in for a awakward hug.
“Aww I missed you guys too and guess what I brought souvenirs.” I squeal as I lift up my bag of souvenirs, any holiday I go on I always make sure to get souvenirs for every member of Nct.
Because I used to hang around with dream so much they put in a sofa bed for me so when I wanted to sleep over I could and because I hadn’t seen them in so long I decided I wanted to stay and we did we stayed up almost all night just catching up Mark and Haechan also ended up staying the night and had to bed with other members of dream because they didn’t want to leave either.
It was my first night back with the boys and already everything was so different I never expected that kind of reaction from them Haechan was the only one that didn’t seem fazed. Over summer I started eating a little more healthier and started exercising more, I made some cool friends their too so I guess maybe I did change a lot. I came back a little different more confident, more go-getting I guess you could say I was ready for whatever the world threw at me... or so I thought.
So this is the beginning of the new Bestfriends to Lovers series - fighting for your love ! I decided to write it in the first person and see how it goes let me know if you like it like this or preferred it the other way
